I have a one hp AO Smith electric pump motor for my sprinkler system which is approximately 5 years old. Well point is clean and all sprinkler heads have been replaced. I am not able to get distance from my sprinklers into the lawn. Could this be due to a worn impeller?

Yes they are all as original .At first all zones had good distance for water discharge. After 2 months distance has been noticeably reduced. Also i instaled a gauge on the pump and reads 40psi on all 5 zones!!

If you replaced your sprinklers, did you use the same size nozzles as the original heads?
I need more information and I can help you with a well/sprinkler system problem.

I don't understand why it would drop after a few months. The impellar probably did not wear. It is more likely that the water level has dropped in the well, but this is unusual, too. If these heads rotate, they work best at around 50 psi at the head. There are small losses through the main piping, control valves and piping to the heads. If you can lower nozzle sizes on the heads to get around 50 - 55 psi at the pump, distance will increase. Try one zone and see the result.

I have a 2hp AO Smith motor on a Sears Premium sprinkler pump and the plastic casing has cracked al, the way through. I was wondering where I could find a replacement casing?

Try sears?
Or amazon.
Depending on the Frame of the AO Smith Motor, you can really put on any kind of Wet End, which is what you called the casing.

Just ensure that you get the correct HP

Where I can buy the A.O Smith 3/4 HP pool pump impeller?

You'll need information from the pump that the AOSmith electric motor is attached to in order to get an impeller or any other pump parts. If there is no nameplate for the pump are there numbers on the impeller you need?

I bought a red lion sprinkler pump with an A O Smith 1.5HP electric motor on it. A O Smith model # CET50ABH, serial # 27308J2. I knew I would have to wire it (115/230v capable) and I want to go the 115v...

Your black and white wires go on L1 and L2. It will not matter which wire goes on with line terminal as long as you just put one cord wire on L1 and one on L2. Be sure you properly switch the motor to run on 115V since it will facotry prepped for 230.

John

I have a 1hp 115/230 phase 1 sprinkler pump what size pressure switch do i need 20/40 or30/50 ?

The pressure switch needs to be sized for the pressure and the motor current. The pressure would depend on your piping system, and hao many sprinklers you have on a section. You can buy a pressure switch that is adjustable, and you can set the pressure you need. You also must be sure the current rating (amps) of the pressure switch can handle the motor current (amps) there are is a wide range of switches available. You can't go wrong with a square d though. Available Home Depot, graingers, electrical supply etc.
