What model Leviton GFCL should I use? My wire is a 600 volt 12/2 with ground. Said wire feeds other GFCL outlets.

Any off-the-shelf GFCI sold today with work on 12-2 wire:
By code, 12-2 wire should be connected to 20 amp circuit breaker, but typically most switches and outlets wired to that circuit are rated 15 amp. Amp rating is printed on electrical devices.

Add 12 volt outlet switched by ignition

Look in your owners manual for the accessory fuse. That line turns off. Also, consider a 12 volt relay between the seat and your power source. A small toggle switch will work well for a relay.

50a surface mount, just need to know what wire go were. white, black and ground wires or see a diadram. thanks Chazz

If this is for a 50 amp 250 volt outlet, you should have 1 green screw and two brass screws. The ground/bare wire goes on the green, and the white and black go on the other two. does not matter which one is where

I have a Leviton 5225/702. I want to control the receptacle/outlet with the switch. I have not broken the hot tie and I have not used the brass screw. I tried 2 hook ups without success.

Assuming you have a tie on only one side, you should not use either screw on that side of the unit. Connect your hot wire to the screw on the other side of the unit on the end closest to the switch. This should be an isolated brass screw. This will allow the hot wire to feed through the switch, then through the hot tie to the outlet end of the unit. Connect the white neutral wire to the other screw on the same side that you connected the hot wire. This should be an isolated silver screw toward the outlet end of the unit. Connect your ground wire to the ground terminal. good luck Al K

I want to use an X-10 Pro appliance module outside, in an outlet that has a Leviton outdoor covered electrical outlet cover. The appliance module does not fit even with the cover completely open. Is it...

Instead of trying to put your appliance module outside, and risk it getting wet, why not add another outlet inside the house, near the existing outdoor outlet, or anywhere along the path of the existing wire that feeds that outlet. Re-route the wires that were going to the outdoor outlet to this new outlet instead. Then plug the appliance module into the new outlet, and plug into that a new wire leading to the existing outdoor outlet. If you are really lucky, there will be enough slack wire so that you can cut the wire going to the outlet and insert the new outlet in-between. In any case, you will need to put a plug on the wire feeding the outdoor outlet. Work safe, don't forget to turn off the breaker first! Good luck.

Can i wire three way switch using 12-2 romex?

Only if you have two separate 12/2 lines.

You need 12/3 w ground, because this is needed to connect the two switches and carry the neutral.

You can start with 12/2 power going to switch, then 12/3 from switch to switch, the 12/2 to fixture.

Leviton 8299 combination

first you must know which wires are hot from the breaker box and witch ones go to the device you are switching--lets call it a light bulb. The hot wires coming from the breaker should go where it says "LINE" black one on the "HOT" side and white one on the "White" side. One of the black wires hanging out of the switch should go on the "LOAD" "HOT" side of the switch, then attach the other hanging black wire to the black wire going to the light with a wire nut. Your white wire going to the light must go on the "LOAD" "WHITE" side or it just won't work.
