model # required,serial #, approx year made, is it auto with 2 drive belts or shift with 1 belt

it's usually on top of the deck clean off the grass and look on top may have to remove it to see

This is a MTD brand mower, most mower shops stock these spindles, sometimes in a less expensive after-market version, take your local mower shop that model Number and they should be able to get your new spindle

SONDS LIKE A FULE PROBLEM IT MAY NEED THE CARB CLEAND MAY HAVE BAD GAS

you have a bad blad saftey swich that all it is replace that and youll be good to go

if you still have the manual for the mower you can find out how to replace the deck. If not try going to the MTD online manual and find the lay out for the proper deck replacement.

Most mower decks have the diagram on them, if not go to MTD.com and put your model number to see the diagram.

I have Yardman, MTD, 13 HP, 38", 6 speed. Put in new spark plug and new battery. Started first time and successive times (2), battery is completely drained. Can be jumped and started and will mow, but when it is shut off, there isn't any battery to restart. What would be draining the battery or not allowing it to recharge????
