If you bought it used, you can bet that they didn't run it out of fuel before they stored it, so the gas evapoated out of the carb and all that was left was oil, so mix your fuel 8 to one eight parts gas and one part oil, you'll have to hit the primer botton several times.

What is mixing ratio for weedater

The ratio is generally 40 to 1. That is all I have ever used. It depends also though on the quality of the oil you use. Synthetics can use a different ratio than mineral oils.

Describe your Poulan/Weed Eater No. Te475 952711797 17" Le Gas Trimmer/Edger Problem Need gas to oil ratio for poulan prolink pp335 weed eater

I found the manual for this model weed eater, according to the manual the mixture...
and I quote "This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. Before operation, gasoline
must be mixed with a good quality synthetic 2-cycle air cooled engine oil designed to be
mixed at a Ratio of 40:1 ...."
and I quote once more from the manual "Helpful Tip. To obtain
correct oil mix ration, pour 3.2 ounces of 2 cycle synthetic oil into one gallon of fresh gas."

Hope that helps,
If you like I can send the manual via email if you need it.

What kind of oil do i use to mix with gas for my Poulan gas trimmer. Can i use WD30 motor oil or does it have to specifically say its for 2stroke engines? the ratio on the trimmer says 40:1 so i assume...

DO NOT USE MOTOR OIL!!!

There is a special 2-stroke engine oil mix that you can purchase at various stores that have outdoor equipment or you can also find mix at Walmart. There are instructions for proper mixing on the bottle.

Remember not to put 2-stroke mixed fuel in your lawn mower unless it is also 2-stroke (rare). And the converse is also true, do not put your 4-stroke lawn mower fuel in your 2-stroke weed eater.

I can't get it started

Check 1. Compression 2. Gas/oil mix 3. Air filter 4. Spark at spark plug. This is just the beginning of troubleshooting a 2 stroke. They develop fuel line problems and carburetor problems and magneto air-gap problems. Critical though is the oil/gas fuel mix that is used. It needs to be fresh and mixed at the correct ratio. Check all these things that you can and post back.

What is the oil to gas mix? Paulan xt-200

Poulan motors usually use a 40:1 mix ratio.

That is 3.2 oz of 2-cycle oil to 1 Gallon (128 oz) of gas.

Be sure to not use gas with more than 10% Ethanol.

I just need to know if all gas weed eaters use the same gas/oil mix thanks

All 2 stroke motors use more or less the same oil/Fuel mix, BUT You MUST know the exact amount for your particular engine. I believe for your motor it is 40:1.
The commonest Ratios are about 5% (20:1) - 6% (17:1) and newer motors are usually 2% (50:1). I have also included 3% (32:1) because many tuned motors use this ratio.

My weedeater brand trimmer won't start

I believe you have the wrong GAS AND OIL MIXTURE. MOST WEED EATERS are a Ration of 90:1 or even less 75:1 For WEEDEATER I would use a 50:1 or if you choose 32:1 should work. Use a good 2-stroke oil. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER OIL> You see the more oil you use the harder it is to start. Don't forget to Pump the fuel Bulb on the side before trying to start it.About 3 x should do it. GOOD LUCK and it is and does effect me when their is death by a LOVED ONE. My prayers are with you! From Mddoc13 ( BOB)

Do you use mixed gas for a ryobi weed eater??

Unless it has a tag or decal on it saying it is a 4 cycle then it uses mixed gas/oil at about a 50:1 ratio. Straight gasoline will freeze the piston in the cylinder in mere minutes.
