Pkermer,

It sounds like the receiver is in single mode (you said it was in dual mode) or shared viewing. With shared viewing disabled, you will not get a picture on TV 2, only TV 1. If you are not getting a picture (black screen) on TV 2, you should change the setting for Shared View on your receiver.

Make sure your receiver is in Single mode by pressing the Mode button on your receiver (should have only the green light lit on the front of the receiver and the single mode amber light). Press the Menu button on your remote to display the Main Menu on your TV 1. Press 6 (System Setup) and 2 (Shared View). Move the cursor to Enable Shared Viewing. Press Select on your remote (Enable View should have purple dot). Then press Done. Exit out of the other screens till you have a picture on your TV 1 screen. Make sure the receiver is in dual mode and then check to make sure you have a picture on TV 2.

If you have any more problems or questions, please let us know.

Dstv remote not working on any blue dials? Two tv's in separate rooms, one pvr decoder. Only the red dial works on both tv's & both remotes are working & both tvs responding properly.

Is this a newly installed system? If both tv's are responding to the same remote setting (red in case), it means both tv's are set to the same channel. The tv that is connected to the decoder directly (via AV cables, I presume) is supposed to respond to if the remote is set to red. In order for the second tv to respond when the remote is set to blue, you need to tune the second tv until you find the picture of tv2 (the decoder transmits both tv1 and tv2 on the RF/coaxial output and it seems that your remote tv is tuned to tv1 instead of tv2).

Dish Network remote and receiver problem

Hi Tracy, my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative at DISH. With the TV2 remote working for both TVs, you will want to make sure the TV1 input on the receiver is connected to the TV cable (RCA or Coax cable) and TV2 input is connected to TV2 port on the back of the receiver. I will provide you our link explaining in more detail about connections. If you have any further questions I will provide you my e-mail; [email protected]. Here is the link I promised you: http://www.mydish.com/support/same-video-2-tvs

Tv2 remote not working tv1 must be on

It sounds like the RCA cable is plugged into TV 2 ports on the back of the receiver.
Depending upon your receiver, towards the center on the back of the receiver, you have 3 rows of colored (2 - Red, White, and Yellow; 1 - Green, Blue, Red). The RCA for TV 1 should go in the middle row. Please let me know if you have further problems. Thanks.

Remote (2) works to tun the TV on and off.... But nothing is working in the SAT mode. Remote (1) is working fine.

Hi, Mary with Dish Network Customer Service. I am sorry you are having a problem with your TV2 remote. It sounds like it needs to be readdressed to the Dish receiver box. Take the remote to TV1, using TV1 remote, press the "Menu" button twice. TV screen should show "System Info", towards the bottom of the screen it will say "Primary Remote Address" and "Secondary Remote Address". Take TV2 remote, press and release the "SAT" button, on the top left corner of remote. The press the "Record" button 3 times. The number in the white box, next to "Secondary Remote Address" should have changed, if not unplug receiver from power for 10 seconds and then follow the instructions again. This should resolve your issue but if you are still having a problem, you may need to contact Tech Support directly. I hope this helps.
