Delphi XM SKYFi2 1016211B1 Satellite Radio Receiver Logo
Posted on Jun 15, 2011

Hello - I've had my SKYFi2 receiver for about 4 1/2 years. For the past 6 months it cuts in and out, as in, plays the station that I'm on, then it stops and just says "antenna". I'll move the receiver just a bit, then the station will come back on. Other times I have no problem for a while, then it starts all over again. For the past month now it just says "antenna" and no stations comes through. Thank you in advance. Kathy

Hi Kathy,

It sounds like its the antenna, although it could be the docking station itself, or even the receiver. The best way to narrow it down is by testing against other equipment (if you happen to have other docking stations and or antennas) If it produces the same result you know its the radio. If you swap antennas and it works, obviously the antenna; and the same goes for the docking station. You can find replacements at tss-radio.com.

2003 Pontiac Vibe - 4 Cyl. 150k miles. Ignition coils keep going bad - every 4-6k miles. Coil 1 has been replaced 4 times, Coil 3 once. Coil 4 twice in the past year (20k miles). All spark plugs

Install new spark plugs, 4 new coils & replace the oxygen sensors

O2 Sensors are only good for 100,000 miles, then slow
down or quite

No idea why the coils do not last 5 or 6 years

Cylinder #1 is always at the front on a 4 cyl

Go to Rock Auto --Buy Wells Coils,NGK Double
Platinum Plugs & NTK O2 Sensor

Those parts are expensive because you have a Totota
Motor I guess

WMA stream on a constant loop for my favourite radio station

Since other stations worked perfectly, perhaps the other station was streaming a loop.

Hello. I've had the above f/freezer for about 6 years and its been fine. Over the past two weeks i've been getting small amounts of water going on to the floor, from the freezer side - it's as...

Sounds like a plugged drain. Your FF defrosts 2-3 times a day and if the drain plugged the next defrost water just runs out the door.

did you hook the constant power wire up? its the yellow wire coming out of the deck. if this was not hooked up the deck would work fine, but it would not hold the time, or preset stations either

Delphi skyfi2 Xm Radio Receiver car connection

Yes, you can buy an FM Direct adapter that will allow you to transmit directly to your car FM tuner, but if you have an older SkyFi2, the Fm transmitter is so strong, you can sit the radio on the floor and tune your car radio to your preset XM channel, like 107.1 FM and it will work great. Go into "Menu" and pick a channel that's not used locally.

Have SkyiFi 2 and use with cassette adapter - but, want to use in other dar

From the XM user's manual, page 14.

1. Make sure your SKYFi2 is turned off. Unplug any accessory from SKYFi2’s audio jack.
2. Turn on an FM radio and place it close to your SKYFi2.
3. Tune the FM radio to each of the following FM frequencies: 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7, 88.9, 106.7, 106.9, 107.1, 107.3, 107.5, 107.7, and 107.9.
4. Note the frequency that has no FM station or the least amount of interference.
5. Turn on your SKYFi2.
6. Press the “menu” button.
7. Use the scroll wheel to select “FM Frequency.” Press the “XM” button to confirm.
8. Use the scroll wheel to select the frequency noted in step 4. Press the “XM” button to confirm.
9. Press the “menu” button to return to the main menu and then again to return to the play screen.
10. You should now hear XM programming over your FM radio. If the sound is not clear or you hear
interference or static, try another frequency by repeating the process above.
