There are cookies and caches that are set to remember identity of the user and its session. And there are cookies that are needed that helps the user sign out in its session. This could the problem you are experiencing right now.
There are two possible fix to this kind of problem. And it works for browsers like Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
First, we try to clear the caches and cookies on the internet browser you are using so that we could clear any user id and password that you used to sign in on the sites that you want like Yahoo! Mail.
Secondly, we will try to enable the cookies in the internet browser that you are using to allow you to sign out on the sites that you want like Yahoo! Mail.
And hope at the end of this procedure, it will fix your problem.
First solution: Clear cache and remove cookies of your internet browser
For Internet Explorer user, launch your Internet Explorer by clicking it. Press the Tools menu to scroll down and select the Internet Options. When an Internet Options window appear, select the General tab. Press the Delete button next to Delete browsing history or Delete Cookies (the Internet Options format may vary depending on the version of Internet Explorer) but the idea is to delete the cookies (that may also leads you to clearing the history and caches)
For Mozilla Firefox user, launch your Mozilla Firefox browser by clicking it. On the Tools menu, press Options. When an Options window appears, select on Privacy tab. Press the clear your recent history button. Select everything and press the Clear Now button. Next, press the remove individual cookies button, and press Remove All Cookies button. (On some version of Mozilla Firefox, Privacy tab may vary, but the idea is to remove cookies and clear caches.)
For Google Chrome user, launch your Google Chrome browser by clicking it. On Settings, select Options. (on other version, click Customize and Control Google Chrome button next to address bar and select Options). On Options window select on Under the Hood tab. On some version the format may vary but the idea is to clear the browsing history, empty cache and delete cookies.
Second and best solution: Allow cookies
Yahoo need foreign cookies to be enabled in order to sign you out.
For Internet Explorer user, launch your Internet Explorer by clicking it. Press the Tools menu to scroll down and select the Internet Options. When an Internet Options window appear, select the Privacy tab. Set the slider to Medium setting. This settings is enough to allow cookies on your Internet Explorer browser. Click Apply then OK button.
For Mozilla Firefox user, launch your Mozilla Firefox browser by clicking it. On the Tools menu, press Options. When an Options window appears, select on Privacy tab. Select Use custom settings for history next to Firefox will:. Make sure there is a check mark next to Accept cookies from site. Click OK button to close.
For Google Chrome user, launch your Google Chrome browser by clicking it. On Settings, select Options. (on other version, click Customize and Control Google Chrome button next to address bar and select Options). On Options window select on Under the Hood tab. On some version the Under the Hood format may vary, click on Change Google Gear Settings or Content Settings button. On Cookie setting, make sure to select the Allow All Cookies or Allow local data to be set (recommended).

Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account
