Please

does not resolve the issue, please try to reseat the printhead cable. Turn the
printer off, and remove the rear. Check the cable at JMIRR1 for shield. proper
connection to the controller board, the printhead cable for pinch points, and
the cable or
connector for any other damage.
Thank you. Although everything looked fine, I removed and reseated the cable connector rom its mount on the board. The system calibrated when I turned it back on and moved to the ready state. Thank you very much.
Other points: 1. I wonder if a simple re-calibration step would have done the trick, 2. Removing the back means removing the six screws of the silver metal plate in the back, and 3. The JMIRR1 connector is small, about 1/4 in x 1/2 inch and is white. It's located at the top of the circuit board to the left of the ribbon cable at the top
My C543dn printer is old but now still alive.
I was getting the 106.08 service printhead error.
Pulled the JMIRR1 connector and reseated it.
Printer is now working.
