SOURCE: Camera Case will not close
I solved my Sony Camera problem by throwing the camera in the trash and vowing never to purchase a Sony Camera again. When I saw many other people posting the same problem on the internet, I came to the conclusion this is a major problem with Sony Cameras.

Its arround 1993 model camera and part supply has an end by Sony. Problem is Capacitors mounted on boards. If you can change them, go ahead.
SOURCE: Tape is stuck in my Sony handycam DCR-PC101
I have managed to eject my tape by powering 4.5 V the little motor which drives the eject mechanism.
Problem is that you have to dismantle half the camera to do this (be very careful with the flexy wires they are fragile) and I wouldnt' do it without the service manual.

Don't think this is a complete solution, but it might help. Try checking out the buttons on the camera. I've got one of those same cameras but my problem is the ribbon cable in the cassette carrier broke and I'm on the hunt for a new one, and a service manual. By the way, how about emailing a copy of the service manual to me at [email protected]. Thanks. I might be able to help further with a copy of that.
