Let's first assume that your Wii is healthy. It's saying that it doesn't see your WiFi signal. Let's also assume that you actually DO have a WiFi hub attached to your cable or DSL modem, and that it's within a reasonable distance from your Wii. I'll even go farther to assume you have a laptop or desktop computer connected to said hub with which you can control it.

You're probably at that computer as you read this. Is it using your WiFi signal, or is it connected via a cable? In either case, open another tab on your browser and connect to your hub (probably at 192.168.0.1). Check your user's manual (or your installation notes) for the password to control it.

You want to make sure that the WiFi part of your hub is actually turned on AND that it is discoverable (by the Wii). Find out what SSID it's using, so you know what to look for on your Wii. Once that's done, try again on the Wii.

Good luck.

I'll advise briefly, but suggest you find the router page address (something like 198.168.2.1). You can find this by looking in the manual for the router. You can also double click to open the router and then "open device webpage"

This will allow you to access the router settings and configure the wireless protocols and passwords / security. Without knowing which router you are using, I cannot give specific help.

You need to ensure that the wireless password that you set in the router is typed EXACTLY into the network connection on your PC / laptop

Trying to connect to netflix via Wii: error message code 51030> Unable to find an access point. Please confirm the SSID and try again.

You need first to have a wireless router for your wii to receive a signal, once this is set up you need to call your cable provider for the ssid#. This will link your wii to the router so that you can access internet/ netflix. Another way to do this if you don't have a router is to connect your wii directly into you bradband modem using an ethernet cable. I hope this helps.

Help, Im trying connectmy wii to the wireless internet and I keep getting a error code number 50300

Error Code: 50300 The Wii console's internet connection settings are not correct. This could include your network name (SSID), WEP or WPA keys, or any manual settings you may have entered.

  • It's possible something has changed since you last connected online with your Wii console. Try setting up a new connection file, using your router's settings.
  • While "Search for an Access Point" is the easiest and recommended connection type, your network may require you to use the "Manual Setup" option.
  • If you are still getting this error code, please call 1-800-255-3700 for further assistance.

I have netflix it keeps reading error code 51030 unable to find an access point please confirm the ssid and try again I check the ssid but it keep saying the same what should I do

You probably have to cycle your network. SSID stands for service set identifier, which is basically a network name. It's how your private wireless network knows that a device is allowed to be on it, essentially. To fix this problem:
1) Unplug both your modem and your wireless router.
2) Leave them sit, powered off, for a few minutes.
3) Plug the modem back in, allowing it to fully boot for a few minutes.
4) Plug the route back in after the modem has had a chance to boot.
5) It may not be necessary, but at this point I would advise rechecking or resetting the wireless connection settings on your Wii. This is really a precautionary step, but will definitely increase your odds of success. Try connecting again.
6) If these steps don't work, completely erase your connection settings and create them again from scratch, making sure to double check that all the settings you are entering are EXACTLY the same as they appear on your router.

My wii wont connect to the internet. i havnt used the wii internet for a while, but i use my computer & the internet often. it's telling me to 'confirm the SSID and try again' I cannot find...

1. Go to the Wii settings page on your Wii - it's on the bottom left hand corner of the home menu
2. Scroll right until you see the Internet option then select
3. Select Connection Settings
4. Clear all your previous internet settings, or select one of the three presets that says none
5. Select wireless connection then search for an access point
6. Select your wireless connection name (SSID) from the resulting list
7. input the password for it if you have one then follow the onscreen instructions

Hope this helps!
