I never heard of a washer gasket of drum....Just try to look closer new as your machine is usually something that cld be easily sorted, check if pipes aren' loose or broken.

SOURCE: Samsung washer is leaking water

I've also had this problem with my machine , it was my brother who found out that the soap drawer has an irregular side over which the water jumps if it pours in with strenght from the tap. that's why the leak seems to be at the front, and only at the beginning of the cycle. We supposed it has to do with using the same drawer for different types of washers. we solved it arranging the low side with american tape and some square flat plastic. Good luck.

SOURCE: I have a two month old Samsung WF350 front load

I just received my Samsung WD 8804 front loader washing machine, and during the 3rd wash trial, I noticed the same problem of water trickling down from the base of the front door. I took a closer look and the problem is actually due to a cracked rubber seal, which can be seen through the glass door. I have informed the technician.

Leaking water from the hose connections

Had the same problem w/the water inlet w/initial installation. When the water inlet was hooked to the faucet and into the washer, water leaked on the washer end. The manual tells you to put a new "flat" washer (provided) in the washer machine water inlet, but water still leaked. It's actually the not flat washer, it's more of an "U" shape washer that goes into the washer machine water inlet and fits right over the filter in the water inlet valve. Leak was solved, but faucet was on and water was not filling in the drum. Turn power on, select cycle, water level, and press start and water should start filling the drum.

Water leaking from bottom of machine - machine not washing well

It is important that you look underthe washer to confirm the point of leak so as to get a first hand information. If the leak is during the wash cycle it can be from fault of the celing gasket or a leak from the drum moving spindle. However if it is during the rinse cycle, the leak can be from the out let hose,drainvalve/drainpump.If so the hose can be tighten or the valve pump can be removed, repaired and reset.

Smell from water remaining in grey seal

My GE washer model wcvh6400j0ww was leaking. May be standing water under your machine. The repair person thought the gasket. It turned out to be the water in-let pipe (WH41X10118 and you will need seal WH41X10119) and not the gasket. He ordered the gasket and took machine apart to replace and found cracked pipe. Take your machines front off and make sure it is the gasket leaking. Good Luck,

I have a 21 year old Kenmore washing maching (model 82873800). It is leaking when it is filling up. The water is not coming from the hoses or the center shaft. When I lean the washer over, I can reach...

I'd go to the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?pop=true&modelNumber=110.82873800%29

and check the sub-components lists for a gasket or part under the tub that keeps the water from leaking.

With a 21 year old washer, it's likely that one of the rubber or plastic gaskets has finally worn.

Puddle under 1 yr old washing machine hours after it is finished

Sounds like either the gasket on the inlet is leaking or not tight or the solenoid housing is cracked causing the leak. When its in use the pressure from the line is realased when the solenoid is opened letting water in. When not in use the solenoid stays closed allowing pressure from the line to build causing the gasket to leak. Check your gaskets, and solenoid housing for leaks and then check to make sure your water pressure is not set too high.

Water Leak from the Front Door of our Maytag Epic MFW9700S

The water leaking is most likely the gasket. It may have a little rip or something making it not seal. Im not sure about Maytag but on our GE we had to slide the the top back to remove some screws then (I believe to was for the control panel) Then we removed screws for the door and the front of the washer. When that was done you have to remove a round clamp that holds the gasket on. Then replace the gasket.

My suggestion is to have a appliance repair come and do it. Its a pain to do, at least it was for me.
