To manually open the door, pull the Door Release handle, at the bottom of the machine next to the Drain Catch. Here is a video with how to accomplish this:

If the error persists, you are going to need to replace your Door Latch Mechanism. To get to the Door Latch Mechanism, you will need to remove the Door Gasket. Here is a video of how to do this:

Mine just did the same thing. Just an E, no numbers. There's no need to replace the door switch. I took off the front lower panel/cover. Unscrewed the drain cover and cleaned it out. Found some change and a bunch of sludge. Put it back together and NOTHING. Called Bosch and they had me reset the codes. Turn the selector switch to Cotton cold 4 times. Then wait 10 minutes. That cleared my codes and it works now.

Hi,
Is it flashing only E or there is a number besides it such as E 03 or E1?
Thanks and Regards

A code E27 means a problem with the door lock. Try
unpluging the machine for an hour and see if it resets the lock.
If not remove the cover on the lower right
corner you will see a white plastic pull cord. Pull the cord and pull open the
door. If that doesn't reset the door lock you will need to replace the lock.

It is only flashing E:
No numbers beside it, with the door locked. Unable to select washing cycles or open door.
Flashing only E:
No numbers beside it.
The error code is E: with no mumbers beside it. The door remains locked.
Are you still trying to solve my problem?
