The picture has suddenly gone dark. We can still see the picture, however it is really dark. We tried shutting it completely down and unplugging and restarting it. We tried to adjust the color via the menu. Still dark.

Vizio E480i-b2 LED TV loosing picture and sometimes shutting off

I don't think you had backlight issues like you thought you did as the set should have shut down the backlights totally as soon as it sensed over voltage or over current, I'd try a new main board and see if that fixes things up for you

Why has my LG tv suddenly gone dark

Back-light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

Sanyo dp42841 no picture

Sounds like either the CCFL for your LCD TV has blown (It's basically a miniature florescent tube) or the inverter that drives it has given up.

Have a look on Ebay for replacement parts and to see if you feel confident enough to tackle the job yourself.

Lost picture

Try unplugging everything and then plugging it back in. When my xbox had the "ring of fire" my brother asked me to fix it and I just unplugged and re plugged it worked and came back to life. (be careful that you either have the instuction menu for setup of you can remember where all the plugs go, otherwise you'll have to right down what goes where or else you may get confused and never be able to fix your poor television)

Two thirds of the picture has gone dark on 42lg5000-za tv

Hello,

The problem actually is from a lamp in the unit, it is getting damaged gradually that is why it is two third of the screen that has gone dark. once it gets completely damaged, the entire screen will turn dark.

Try to ***** the lamp of the television and replace it with a new one.

After doing that your television will be in good condition once again.

Take care and good luck

Screen is dark

Is this a brand new computer? Was it displaying properly before and just suddenly started showing up dark?

Most laptop monitors have a brightness control. It is possible that yours may have been inadvertently turned all the way down (it can happen accidentally). It is usually accessed by a function selector on the lower left side of the keyboard in conjunction with a function key, like F7, F8, F9, etc... you should check your manual first to be sure.

If that doesn't help, then it is possible the backlight for the LCD screen has gone dead. Those can be replaced by authorized service centers.
