Go to control panel >system>hardware>device manager
in device manager check whether do you have a list of devices with in the named"other devices ...
if there is "multimedia audio controller" is present in this "other devices" list then the audio driver might not be installed correctly so just right click that "multimedia audio controller" and click on update driver and select the advanced option and then give the location of the audio driver then it will get installed correctly ...
if the installation fails means then there may some problem in the media from which you are installing ..if you installing from the files present in the harddisk (may be some files may be corrupted or missing),if you are installing from the cd then the cd might have got scratched and the cd rom couldnt able to read the cd by this your installation is getting failed ... so try downloading the driver from the net and installing it this will surely solve your problem ...

Processors do not have drivers. They are supported by motherboard chipsets, so you need to make sure you have the correct chipset driver for the operating system you are trying to install. What system brand and model do you have? What operating system?
you said that you want to upgrade ur 1.79ghz celeron cpu.
to upgrade a cpu just check that the packaging of the new cpu matches with the motherboard. and also check that the motherboard supports the new cpu that you are installing. check this in the manufactures site.
looks like that mobo can only suppoport up to 53 mhz front side bus for a celeron d processor wht tht means is tht u can get any cpu tht has the front side bus up to 533mhz with the 775 socket forur motherboard
and forpentium 4 its 800mhz and agian any cpu with up to 800 mhz front side bus and 775
so ur best cpu for tht mobo would be the SL7RR it supports hyperthreading
