I keep getting a F6E5 error code on my Whirlpool stove. I have tried unplugging it (overnight) and the error won't go away. Any ideas before I call the repair man?

The error code F6E5 means "Cancel key error". Press the "Cancel" and "Start" keys in the following order: CANCEL, CANCEL, START. Verify the error code displayed on the control by observing for longer then 1 minute. If the error comes back then the control board needs to be replaced..

Why does my stove say f230?

It would help to know what make and model of stove it is.
The first step is to unplug the stove from the wall for 30 seconds or more, then plug it back in

Have a Whirlpool oven ,model,w10221843a,has power but wont heat....help! What could be the problem?

I had similar issue with my electric stove as well. The model of the stove is the same as the one that us mentioned above on the beginning of the this discussion. The issue I had on my stove was that the display shows time and no error code how ever the oven top light indicator comes on but the oven won't heat up. Here are the steps I took to fix the issue: First I unplugged the stove and used a multimeter to verify that it has 240Volt coming. It checked good for 240v. Second, I opened up the terminal on the stove where the plug connects, there I discovered one of the hot leg has melted and broken thus only 120v getting to the stove. I repaired the broken wire and verified 240v coming in the stove and stove was fixed for good. I further investigated what caused the wire to melt and broken, my finding was exposed hot wire shorted to the stove body (ground). Hope this helps. Thanks for reading

EO F2 whirlpool range

you have a bad keypad or a loose wire or ribbon, you can try unplugging it for 10 minutes and see if that helps or unplug it,remove the ribbon that connects to the keypad, plug the ribbon back in and see if that does anything,if not you need a new keypad. next time send the model number so i can help you betterF2 - E0 Shorted keypad (also called touch pad) 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

I have a Whirlpool super capacity 465 gas oven that won't stay lit. It often lights up the first time just fine but then it turns off which is normal but when it tries to relight itself the ignitor...

That sound to me like yall have some carbon buildup on the igniter. On this stove the igniter does 2 jobs. It lights the burner and verifies back to the control that Houston we has ignition. If junk is built up on that ignitor then she won't be sending verification of ignition back to the control. That white residue needs to be removed. NOTE: I don't have your model number I am going by what you describe that this stove is a Direct spark ignition model. If you have a normal ignitor it probably is weak and not drawing 3.5 amps to open the valve. Post a model number (bottom drawer frame)

Oven doesn't work, stove does

If it's a Whirlpool or Kenmore oven (or one of several other brands that are made by Whirlpool) then this error code means:

F1 - E1 Safety flip flop Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC)

The system believes that the control board has failed and needs to be replaced.

This page has a list of diagnostic codes by brand and model number. You should check there to look up your particular brand to confirm what I just said.

After a power outage oven will no longer work

F1-E1 - EEPROM Checksum Error - Disconnect power for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect.
Allow at least a minute after power has been restored and if error code reappears, replace control board (clock).
