Fujifilm battery fully charged but camera says no charge or very little. Just bought a new Duracell Battery and Charger for my Fuji FinePix J10 Camera. Used the charge on the battery in the camera from out-of-the-box (batter) all day yesterday and the camera worked fine. Put the battery into the charger to recharge the battery overnight (Duracell battery Charger), then put back in the Camera this morning. Took a few pictures, but the battery now blinks like it has no charge. Any ideas on what could cause this?

Remove the battery from the camera, put it into the supplied battery charger, and plug the battery charger into a power outlet. The charging is complete when the light on the charger turns from orange to green.

Hi, It sounds like your battery can't hold a charge anymore. My suggestion would be to get a new battery for the camera and then it should work fine.

The blinking light is the flash recharging message. You could try turning off the flash (if the lighting conditions are appropriate for this). In fact if the lighting conditions allow, the camera should default to taking a picture without the flash during the recharging cycle.

The recharge time will be longer if the batteries are low. If the battery is older, it will not hold a charge as well as it did when new and will act like a low battery. Try recharging the battery. If the battery is more than a year old, get a replacement NP-45 battery. If you believe the battery is fully charged, you might need a new charger, BC-45A.

First remove the battery from the camera. Then use the (wall type or cord type) battery charger to charge the battery. After it is charged, insert the battery back into the camera.

Did you put in the battery the right way? If yes, try cleaning the contact points on the battery.

Usually when the light on the charger either changes from red to green, or some chargers have a blinking light, when it stops blinking. I have seen chargers which also had a light which would turn off when the battery is charged.

It seems that the battery life is ended . You need to replace the battery . When battery life is ended , you will never be to recharge it again .

I have same problem as edmoze mentions above - batteries went dead. I first tried to use regular Duracell AA and it would still not come on. Went to internet & it recommended getting the Duracell rechargeable NiMh which I did. Got the charger & last nite they charged overnight. Today the camera did come on & I was able to download what I had taken. But what concerns me is that the low battery light is still flashing after a night of charging. What's up? Should I expect this kind of battery problem to continue? Seriously considering getting a Nikon Coolpix.

Nope. Gotta use the supplied external charger. Won't charge via USB, if that's what you are hoping.
