Top oven control panel malfunction. While broiling then switching to bake, door began to lock, I open door before it could complete lock, now "door locked" keeps flashing & I can't perform any funchtion at all. Help please, is there a way to reset panel?

Turn off breaker for minute or so if no contact repair man mcro switch bad or out of position. Did he try to pull door right after candle. The motor takes time to clear the hook from the latch. If so he probly bent some thing in the mech that latches the door or on the switch plate that holds the micro switch

An error code DR commonly refers to a door lock malfunction. I understand you have reprogrammed the range by unplugging it. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your range back on. Typically, this will clear most false error codes. Note: Also see fan thermal switches Indicates that oven is over temperature in one of the following modes within either a cooking or clean mode of operation.
· Control senses oven temperature above 650 degrees F with the door circuit in the unlock mode.
· Control senses oven temperature above 935 degrees F with the door in the locked mode.
· Stalled cooling fan or airflow problem. · Look for welded relay contacts. (Heating elements on in off mode).
· Look for open thermal switch in lock motor circuit. Switch is normally closed and will open if area overheats due to fan not operating. Look for cause - fan thermal switch not closing, fan stalled, etc.
· Look for high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit due to high contact resistance (poor terminal crimp, deformed terminals, loose connection) or intermittent solder joint on control or intermittent oven temperature sensor.
· Look for electrical noise interference in the oven temperature sensor circuit (Ham radio, cordless phone, etc.).

Someone mis-wired the new control. Turn off the power to the range. Open the control console,switch the bake and broil wires on the oven control.

To decrease or increase oven temperature. Push AUTO SET
pad until negative or positive numbers appear. Oven can be
adjusted from -35° to +35° (-37.2° to + 1.6° C) in 5° F (2.7° C).
To avoid over adjusting oven move temperature -5° each time.
Push OVEN CANCEL button.

you would have to disassemble the cook top in order to get the the locking mechanism to manualy unlockit

Hi, well this is a brain tester!! I think you need really to look at this in a simple way. Check to see where the door lock wires come from first? Find where the mains power comes into? then if it goes directly to the main control board then check to see if there is any power getting through the board to the otherside where the wires disapear into the cooker. I would consider checking the control board for any signs of burn damage and then look at the clock unit to as these are normally the main components in the cooker that will stop it from working.

I found I have this exact problem. Same bake preheat issue: I can bake if I set broil first. However, the oven doesn't work if I press bake first. The control board has already been replaced a couple times over the years. Is this another replacement??
