When using the feeder on our Canon D1120 at the office, it creates streaks on the copied paper. We have tried cleaning the rollers numerous times, but nothing seems to work. If we just place the paper on...

This is caused by dirt/debris stuck to your ADF scanner glass. When you use the feeder on these type of machines what happens is that your documents are fed over a strip of glass when they are scanned. So anything stuck to the glass is scanned as a solid "line". You just need to locate and clean the strip glass. It will be located 1 of 2 places on your machine. The first location would be just to the left of the larger main glass. Just look for a strip of glass about an inch wide running from the front towards the back. The other location is harder to find as it would be located inside of the feeder assembly. Sometimes you have to open the feeder unit and look for the glass strip inside. But most machines it is located just to the left or right of the large main glass. Since your copies are fine when you use the main glass then be assured that the strip glass is what is causing this problem.
