Hi, I want to change the logo of the BIOS. I know I can't desactivate the logo to show POST messages, but I would like to delete it forever. I tried to flash BIOS, nothing changed, I tried to save BIOS configuration to USB (from one without logo) to load it into the PC with the logo, nothing changed. Please help me. Thank you

WHY BOTHER ? , why risk bricking it.?
why not ask HP how to do that, (fixya is not HP
i think you are like 1 , in 1billion owners doing this.?
but is done by value added PC re-sellers, and is covered in the HP books. (if lucky some are not;.)

here is HP real, ask them?

SOURCE: Can't get pass the logo screen

OK, this happened to me just yesterday, and I fixed it. Here's what you need to do.

1. Connect your iPAQ to your PC. You don't need ActiveSync, but you do need to make sure that your PC can actually communicate with your iPAQ.

2. Go to where you extracted the ROM update files. It's probably at "C:\iPAQ\SP26263" or something like that.

3. Download a hex editor. Here's one: http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm#download

4. Use the hex editor and open up H2B11020uo.nbf

5. Maximize the hex editor to full screen. Look at the right screen where it says "hp ipaq h1940 1.10.20 ENG". Fill up the top row with zeros. The words "hp ipaq h1940 1.10.20 ENG" will disappear.

6. Within "C:\iPAQ\SP26263", open up ROMUpdateUtility. It won't recognize your device (WHICH IS GOOD). Then you can reinstall the ROM update.

How to reformat my MSI u135dx?? I cant find in my bios.

Press the "Delete" key several times, as the computer displays the POST screen to enter the BIOS area. The POST is the "Power On Self Test" that the computer performs to check the hard drive, memory and processor on your computer. If your computer displays an MSI logo screen instead of the POST screen, press the "Tab" key to display the POST screen, and then tap the "Delete" key a few times.

What function key gives entry to cmos

BIOS is fixed program that starts up the computer. BIOS is initialized during start up of HP Compaq-6715B which sets the computer settings to be uploaded. BIOS enables the creation of a bootable diskette, CD, or USB key that can be used to locally restore or upgrade the System BIOS in the supported notebook models with a 68YTT Family ROM. Only insert the USB drive that will be used to format and create bootable BIOS upgraded USB media. However, you should remove all unused USB drives and flash drives from the notebook before. In order to ROM family and ROM date, press F10 on the target notebook during startup to run the setup utility.

The tips to get into the BIOS of HP Compaq-6715b are:

  • Press F2 for setup
  • Shows logo
  • Independent of OS
Press F2 for setup

BIOS often has a blue background, and uses the arrow keys, PageUp, PageDown and enter keys to change the settings. After you have got into or accessed the BIOS, you can change the boot order settings so that the floppy disk is checked first to see if it contains a bootable program. Usually a message will appear telling you how to enter the BIOS setup program as the computer starts up, such as Press F2 for Setup.
Shows logo

Your HP Compaq-6715b might be configured to show your computer's logo instead of important BIOS messages. In this case, you can press Esc or Tab while the logo screen is visible. If you are facing problems pressing the pause button in time, turn on your computer with your keyboard unplugged. In this situation you will receive a keyboard error, which helps you in pausing the startup process long enough for you to see the keys necessary to enter BIOS.
Independent of OS

The PCs with both PS/2 and USB connections are configured to only allow USB input after the POST. If you are using a USB keyboard, it could be impossible to access BIOS. You would need to connect an older PS/2 keyboard to your PC to access BIOS. The BIOS accessing is independent of any Operating System on your computer because the BIOS is part of your motherboard hardware.

I have a promble that my cd rom drive is not working or missing can u tell me how to fix it please

It should show up in the POST screen.

Go into the bios, and change it to show the POST screen, instead of a logo,
If you need to.

This is the first indicator.
If it shows up, then you might have a problem with windows.
more on that...
but if it doesn't show up in POST,

unhook it, reboot, all the way up. then shut down,
reinstall it CAREFULLY, make sure the cable is done cleanly, and correctly.
then try a reboot and look for it on the POST screen again.

No show, try as new cable, or plug it into a different drive cable and reboot
just to see if it shows up in POST at all again.
No show : the thing is probably dead somehow. you're done,
you need a replacement.

If it shows up in post:

Check the device manager from the control panel. its under "system".

You might see the thing sticking out with a yellow triangle with a ! in it in drives.

That will be a software issue.

you could remove that item and reboot and let windows try to detect it.

Then you need the proper driver, since its a burner.

Go to the Samsung website, know the correct model number,
and get the driver for it.
install the driver, obviously.

Something up there should get it done.

Good luck.

HP PAVILION ZE2301EA MINI PCI WIRELESS BIOS PROBLEM. AMD SEMPROM BIOS BLACK LIST When i install an mini pci wireless card on my machine i got an error message (( 104-unsupported wireless network device...

Hi,
Welcome to Fixya. You can use the 2 methods below to try to fix the issue
Method 1 - Update BIOS Firstly, if you can get past the error and actually boot into the OS, then you want to try and download the latest version of the BIOS. If you can't get past the error, make sure you try to load the computer in Safe Mode and see if the OS loads.
Another thing you can try is to enter the Setup and disable the wireless component on the laptop. Then try to restart the computer and see if you can get past the "unsupported wireless network device" error.
If so, go to the HP update site (http://www.hp.com/#Support) and type in the model number for your HP laptop. Download the latest version of the BIOS and install it!
Method 2 - Reset the BIOS If that doesn't work, you'll have to try resetting the BIOS. In order to do this, you have to restart the HP computer and then press the F10 key while the HP logo is showing. Press it a couple of times during the initial boot up if you can't get in immediately.
Now go to the Exit menu and select Load Setup Defaults. Finally choose Exit saving changes.
After resetting the BIOS, you'll have to perform an OS repair install. This is a pretty long guide in itself, so I'll direct you to a great post that walks through each step in performing the repair install. Not that it will NOT delete any of your data or programs.
Just let me know what happen. Thanks

How do I get rid of the soyo dragon off my computer. It is the first thing I see after I turn on my computer

You can turn this off in your Bios settings.
To do this, press delete when computer starts booting up and this will open the bios screens.
Go to Advanced Bios Features and look for 'Full Screen Logo Show', set this to disabled.
Some of the soyo boards will vary in how you do this so just look at what yours has in the Advanced Bios page, some you will change the Logo size to make it go away and another you switch between Logo-0 and Logo-1.
Lastly, if you are running the p4i865pe plus dragon 2 v1.0 board and/or bio version 865dp1a2 there seems to be no way to get rid of it (updating that bio version to the newest one may change that though)

Hope this helps you resolve the issue!

I have a Asus P5VD2-VM SE and when i boot my pc this show me a message Chasis intruded System Halted someone can help to solve this problem

You will need to go into your system BIOS and disable the Chassis Intrusion Sensor. BIOS is accessed by pressing the "del" key during the initial POST screen (or when giant Asus logo is on the screen) .

Look through there and located and disable the chassis intrusion sensor. If you can't find it, reference your manual for the board. If you don't have one, one can be downloaded in PDF format from the Asus website.

Be careful when in the BIOS, changing anything to an incorrect value could render your system useless! Don't play with anything, unless you explicitly know what you are doing, and what the setting does...

Be sure to "Save and Exit" in order foe the changes to stick.
