I haev tried to copy songs from my GPX MP3 player to my iTunes player on my laptop. When I import, it will play the song as long as the MP3 player is connected, but when I remove the player, the songs won't play.
I get an error saying the original can't be found.
Ended up "syncing" my mp3 player in Windows Media Player then importing into iTunes. Took awhile, but worth the wait & work.Ended up "syncing" my mp3 player in Windows Media Player then importing into iTunes. Took awhile, but worth the wait & work.

You just need to import your songs into iTunes library, then make a playlist with the songs, connect your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect the iPod automatically, then click iTunes menu "File -> Sync iPod", the songs will be transferred from iTunes to iPod. Or You may try this ipod transfer, it's
a nice iTunes alternative that can help you manage iPod files including delete,
upload, play, copy, etc. It's much easier to use than iTunes.
This is due to the DRM (Digital Rights Management) of songs you have purchased through iTunes that are not iTunes+ (DRM Free Files). These Files show up in iTunes as AAC files and have the extension .m4p. These files will not play on any other type of player than an Apple iPod, or iPhone etc. They must first be converted to standard mp3 files. This can be achieved several ways: 1) Burn the songs to CD then re-import them as MP3 Files and copy those files to your device (time consuming) or 2) Create an MP3 Version of the song within iTunes which is fast and easy: step 1: Open iTunes -> Preferences On the General Tab you will see "Import Settings" near the bottom of the window under "When You Insert a CD". Click the button "Import Settings" Now change Import Using: to MP3 Encoder Click OK. Click OK again to close the Preferences window. step 2: Now back in iTunes you will see your music library. Highlight the song you want to play on your Philips MP3 player and click the right-mouse button to bring up the context menu. You will see "Create MP3 Version" As an option on this menu. step 3: Create MP3 Versions of the songs that will not play on your player step 4: Copy the MP3 Version of the songs to your player. You can do this by highlighting the Newly Created MP3 Song and right-click "Show in Finder" or "Show File".
Link
your MP3 player to your computer while the iTunes software is loaded on
the computer. By itself, iTunes serves as an audio player for your
computer. You can transfer audio files to your MP3 player using a USB
cable which comes with most MP3 players. Your computer will prompt you
to name your MP3 player, and an icon identifying it will appear down the
left margin of iTunes.
Click
on the MP3 file (the song), and drag it into the "Library" folder in
iTunes. This folder will serve as the general place to store all the
MP3s on your computer. From there, you can create new playlists to
select specific songs, click on the "shuffle" option to have iTunes
randomly select songs to be played through your computer, or play every
song in order from the library.
Select
the appropriate song or playlist, and click the "Play" button on iTunes
to listen. Or drag the songs from iTunes into your MP3 player's icon in
iTunes to copy the song into your MP3 player.
select take no action. then try to explore the device using my computer. then you can copy your songs and paste them in to the drive(which is the player).
MP3 players cant be used with itunes, Itunes is only for Ipods and such.
Just see where you download the actual songs. and put them in a folder and copy the songs into your MP3 player.
Or you can also try right clicking on the song in itunes and then copying and pasting it in the MP3 player
This works with Barbie MP3 player model BAR901:
If the songs are iTunes Store format (copy protected AAC) you can burn them to a CD (preferably a CD-RW, which you can reuse over and over) which in effect converts then songs to AIFF format with no copy protection, then import them as MP3s back into iTunes (Advanced > Create MP3 Version). (Note: Be sure iTunes > Preferences > General > Import Settings... > MP3 encoder is selected, or you will get Create AAC Version in the menu). Make sure View > View Options... > Kind is selected so you can sort the songs by the kind info column (that is, MP3 not AAC). Then drag your new MP3s out of the window into the main level folder of the Barbie MP3 player. Erase the MP3s from iTunes if you don't need them, since you already have AAC versions. Phew, not easy.
If you have a physical CD rather than iTunes store purchase, it's way easier; just import the tunes as MP3 (Advanced > Create MP3 Version, see above) and drag them into the Barbie player's root folder. The songs play then on the MP3 player. ;-)
The GPX mp3 player is incompatible with iTunes (as are most non-iPod mp3 players). There are a few mp3 players out there that are iTunes compatible, but this is not the one.
The GPX MP3 Player will not recognize .m4a files. You must convert the files to MP3 files first. To do so, in iTunes, click "Edit, Preferences". Change the tab to "Advanced". Inside, there should be a second tab control. Change that to "Importing". Change the "Import Encoder" to "MP3 Encoder". Close those windows. Select the song you want to convert to an MP3, right click, and choose "Convert selection to MP3". Then, locate the file that was created, and put it on your GPX. If you want to convert your entire library, just select all files using Control+A.
Ended up "syncing" my mp3 player in Windows Media Player then importing into iTunes. Took awhile, but worth the wait & work.
