I have a Hobart CRS 86A that continues to fill and flow over. We have changed the temp/level floats on all 3 stage tanks. The pre-rinse has 2 float and stem assymblies in which the floats are located on top of the stem, is this correct? Also the other 2 cycle tanks have one float stem per each and the float is located on the bottom of the stem. Does this sound right and what could cause the overflow?

Sounds right. The level may be an issue with fill solenoid rather than tank floats. Also, is the drain overflow blocked?

Agree 100 pct. After close inspection of the float assembly I passed on its removal and opted for the very high tech solution of using the top of a spray paint can as the overflow drippage receptor. It does evaporate within 24 hours.

We may try another soap when we run out of the Electrosol tabs we have.

SOURCE: leaky float valve

Teresa, the water fill is usually a timed fill and the float assy. is a safety device to cut power to the fill valve in the event the dishwasher keeps filling. ( In most models). Sounds like your initial fill is just above the float lever actuator and dripping. Check the level of the dishwasher to make sure that the water is not higher toward the front. Catriver..post back.

If it is filling when the dishwasher is off then you need a new water valve.

If this is new construction or a new disposal, check the hose that drains from the dishwasher to the disposal - the installer may have forgotten to remove the plug when they connected the hose.

What is wrong with Hobart dish machine says check water level

1.Loss of water pressure due to pump obstruction. Check for any obstruction at the pump intake.
2.Strainers clogged causing inadequate water supply to pump.
3.something may be inhibiting free movement of the low water float; remove any foreign object from around the low water float or its magnet.

My Franke Flair machine has water in tank but get message "fill water tank". Cleaned tank thoroughly, tried plugging and unplugging machine too.

The water tank has a float magnet in the left hand side of the tank. A reed switch is mounted inside the machines right hand panel which senses if the tank is empty. If you remove the tank and fill with water and the display indicates fill tank. The sensor may have failed. Or the float has stuck in the down possition. If the display indicated filll sytem and or rinse. Then the sensor is fine. The next stage is to try rinsing . If it keeps saying filll system or rinse then there may be a blockage in the tank. Or the flow meters have failed. This is assuming water is being dispensed from the water arm etc . If no water is being dispensed and this time assuming you can hear the pumps running. Then there possibly be a blockage in a thermoblock. I could go on for ever guessiing based on the info you discribed. If any more info is required please say

After my toilet fill valve shuts off, water continues sipping into tank slowly. This causes water continuously overflow through overflow tube.

check that the fill valve was installed correctly
adjust the float level so that when full the cistern water level is around 1/2" below the over flow pipe end
what you have now is that the inlet water is not being shut off correctly and the water is still coming in and flowing out of the overflow

How do I increase the water flow into the tank of a Verona toilet

1.) Check to make sure that the water shut-off valve is all the way open (the water valve a.k.a. the shut-off valve is located behind the toilet near the wall or the floor, depending upon installation placement.) The water supply line attaches to it and feeds up into the refill valve assembly inside the toilet tank.
2.) Check the float assembly or the refill valve assembly, make sure it hasn't bound up by getting caught on another part inside the tank.
3.) Check the water level to make sure that it sits about 1 inch below the overflow tube in the middle of the tank. If the water is lower, adjust the float inside the tank to raise the water level. For models that have a ball float, turn the screw on top of the fill valve clockwise to raise the water level. For models that contain a cylinder float valve attached to the fill valve, squeeze the clip on the side of the float and pull the float up until the water reaches the desired level.

WATER LEVEL FLOAT DEVICE PREVENTS UNIT FROM TURNING ON,EVEN THOUGH WATER TANK IS FULL. REMOVED SOME FILTER MATERIAL WITH NO EFFECT. FLOAT IS FREE WITH NO RESTRICTION.

These hints are from the air o swiss webpage.
Q: No mist / unit is not working / empty indicator keeps flashing
A: Fill up the water tank. Check if water is flowing through the demineralization cartridge (attached to the water tank cap). If the water tank is full but there is only little water in the base it indicates that the water is now flowing through the demineralization cartridge.

  • Wait for 15 minutes to allow the mist to come out of the unit.
  • If the unit is not working and the empty light is not flashing you might have set the desired humidity too low and the current humidity level in the room is higher. That is why the unit switches off automatically.
  • If the empty indicator continues flashing and the tank is full, water is not flowing through the cartridge. Exchange the cartridge or the granules in the cartridge after 2-3 months, in areas with hard water exchange the cartridge after 1 -2 months. However, the demineralization cartridge and or the granules must be exchanged at the latest after 6 months or the unit does not reach its full performance.
If the granules are new, see the following instructions:

  • Make sure the cartridge and/or granules were soaked for 24 hours, water takes longer to filter through dry granules in cartridge and into the base. Next, remove 2 tablespoons of granules from the cartridge, and throw them away. Too many granules in the cartridge it does not allow water to flow from the tank to the base.
If your issue is with the float and not the mister, then you have to make sure the float is tripping the micro switch that turns the machine on. Some units the filter will not allow the float to hit the switch if the filter is not installed correctly. If everything is in correctly and the float is tripping the switch, then the micro switch must be faulty.

Will not fill and will not run even when filled by hand.Is it the circuit board? All fuses and switches are good.

Hi

When the Dishwasher is not filling in, you’ll need to check for the water inlet valve, the filter screen and the float switch/assembly. Also check for the float assembly inside the dishwasher. When water is filling your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages.

If these are fine then it's due to Water Inlet Valve. Use a multimeter and check for the continuity on inlet valve. If you don’t get any value on the multimeter hen you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly.

Please post back for any further assistance.
