Hi there...we have an eddie bauer convertable 3 in 1 carseat model number 22c76-shl we need to get the bottom base off to clean it for resale. Cannot remove the base. Please help at pace...

Rhonda, Try looking for a rod under the seat that goes across completely. It will have a tab that
pushes to one side and lets you pull the rod out. You can then get the seat off the base and begin
cleaning.

I need to wash the seat cover... But I cant get it out.... I need help regarding this....

There is a rod underneath with a tab that is holding the bottom on. Once you release it and pull the
rod out it is easily taken apart for cleaning.

Need information on how to take off harness and re-attach it

On our Edddie Bauer car seats, you have to remove the base from the chair by pulling out the metal rod that goes through both pieces. It only comes out from one side. Then there are several plastic "clips" that the straps run through and hold the fabric in place. Gently pry these clips with a flathead screwdriver by sliding the tool under the clip base and pushing in while lifting up. The arm-rest covers should just be wrapped around and come off easily. Make note of where all the straps go through as it is a little confusing puttting it all back together.

Need to clean carseat al eddie bauer online manuals aren't availa

First, snap out the black pieces that attach the cover to the seat with a pair of pliers or a kitchen knife. Then turn the seat over and remove the base by sliding out the metal rod that runs thru the base and seat. Then unhook the center buckle from the bottom of the seat and back up thru the seat. Unhook the straps from the metal bar on the back of the seat and thread them back thru the seat. Be sure to remember the order in which you slide it thru the components so you can reassemble. It may be helpful to lay them out in the order you removed them. Unhook the elastic bands holding the bottom in place and slide it over the top part of the seat and off the seat. If you need to remove the top part and wash, remove the black pieces the same way as the bottom, unhook all elastic and slip it off the top. I wash mine in cold water with mild detergent and usually let it air dry so as to not shrink it. Reassemble by reversing steps.

I have no idea how to get the stupid straps back in. Can I get some dang directions?

My daughter has a car seat just like this one, and I wash it about once a month so I hope I can explain this detailed. First, at the base there is a metal rod that will need removed. When you take this rod out the base and seat will seperate. Set base aside and turn seat upside down. Take your strap and put an end into each slot. Turn seat over and pull your straps even. Put the two black pieces for your latch on (one on each side) then put you chest pieces on and run straps thru slots on back of seat. Turn seat around and make sure the straps go OVER the silver bar in back (this allows you to adjust shoulder height) Secure to the metal piece that runs to front for tightening adjustment. Set seat back on base and replace rod. Hope this was helpful.

There's a round metal bar that runs thru the bottom of the car seat. Remove this bar and the base immediately comes off.

theres a steel rod holding the seat to the base. you have to remove it by pushing from the left and pressing the plastic tab on the right. Once the rod is removed the seat comes off the base. To take the cover off press the plastic inserts through which the belt passes from the other sides using a plier. Two of them are at the back and two at the bottom. Once this is done remove the elastic strings holding the cover to the seat and remove the belts.
