Did you check to make sure that the electrical bridge is in the right position. If you had the unit winterized, some technician turn the bridge over which does not make an electrical connection.

Open the electrical box that should be within 6 feet of your exterior condensor unit. There is a handle plastic handle there that is attached to the electrical bridge. Pull straight out and rotate 180 degree and reinstall. If that doesn't correct the problem then reverse it again and reinstall.

Hello, most likely youmhave a bad capaitor or bad fan motor. If you push the fan and it gets going than the capacitor is bad,if not bad fan motor.

We have purchased 2 window units, model number AEW10APH1. Where do we find the drain on the bottom for the condesation to drain from?

Hello, most window air conditioners do not have a bottum drain. The way they get rid of the condensate is by having tje fan splash it on tje condenser, since the condenser is warm it will evaporate the condensate and this cyle keeps reapeating untill the unit is turned off.

I just bought a house that has the honey well model th6110d1005 - the ac was working just fine and now it doesn't. Even the display wasn't showing up. I bought batteries (backup) and now the display works...

First check your breakers. Then Check to see if you have a float switch in the condesate drain line. You could also have a wet switch located beneath your unit. These usually are dried best with a hair drier and then reset. After that you may have to call for service. If these previous do not solve the problem then you have a blown fuse or transformer in your unit.

Freezer builds ice on inside wall not cold in refrigerator whats worng

your evapartor is freezing up. you have an airflow problem or low on freon. I would first clean the condeser which is on the back of the unit by the compressor you will see a fan and a coil I use a brush and vaccum cleaner to clean it. You will have to turn off the unit to unfreeze the coil. You might listen in the freezer to see if you hear the fan running. if it is not the fan is located behind the plastic sheild in the freezer. sounds like the defrost timer or defrost heater is not working,

I have a Bryant split unit. After incurring some water damage that I assumed was from the overflow pan (the damage came from a poorly insulated elbow in the duct that was sweating) I opened the unit and...

Most all brands of air conditioners are built along the same lines, and for the most part are equally well designed/constructed. Bryant AC's in my opinion are as good as any - and - although - I don't know all the facts about your problem - I do know - that the 'installation of the air conditioner' is as important (if not more) than the brand.

It sounds to me like the blame for your troubles can be traced back to how it was installed.

I would get in contact with an Expert Air Conditioning person who could 'look over' your system and correct this problem - along with any other 'potential problems' you might be unaware of.

hope this helps

Condesing Unit won't run.Breaker keeps tripping.

check the fuses in you disconnect easy way if you have a meter check across line top L1-L2 should have 208-230, same on load side should have same voltage. if not bad fuse. check and see when the unit starts up if the fan spins. if so fan is probably good. if the units trips as soon as you flip the breaker the compressor is probably shorted or you have a shorted wire. if it takes a good 10 seconds i wold test the capacitor in uF. if you are not good with electric or using test equipment i would recommend calling someone. hope this was some what of help to you.

My mini split turns on but is not cooling. It comes and goes... sometimes it cools, and the majority of time it doesnt. Plus, is leaking water. I live in an island and is hot! I need help!

With out looking at it, I can give you some ideas that could cause these problems. I need to know where the water is coming from? If it is leaking on the inside, this narrows it down some. It sounds to me that the evap. coil is icing up which the unit could be low on freon, you're indoor fan motor may not be running up to speed, a dirty filter or evap. coil. You need to shut the unit off, maybe through the night. Get a latter and remove the cover on the indoor unit. Check and wash the foam filter and look the coil over for excess dirt build up. Leave the cover off for now, and go outside to the outdoor unit. Have someone turn the t-stat to on. Watch and make sure that the outdoor fan stays on and listen very close to see if you can hear the compressor running. It sounds to me that one of the named items I have listed is causing the evap. coil indoors to ice up and blocking the air flow to you're home. Let it run with the cover off and just watch it for a few hours. If it starts to ice up and the filter is removed with cover, and the indoor fan is also blowing air, more than likely, you have a small freon leak which is causing the problem. If I were there, I would know in a few min. what the problem is. As far as the leak, it is the ice melting off and running over and the condesate line may have a partial plug in it. If it is low on freon, you can go outside and put your hand on the larger copper line to see if it is warm. It should be sweating or condesating if it is charged properly. If warm or barely cool, more than likely it needs a charge and leak check.

Hi i have a lg split system air con model number lst243h-2 its nice and cold when i first turn on then its just like the fan is on its not cold at all

How long before it goes from cold to hot. The compressor could be not running and going out on overload. The condeser fan could have failed. Did you check the outdoor unit. Is it running? Is the fan running on the outdoor unit. It could be low on charge which would cause ice. Are you getting excessive condensation? Let me know and i can help you out more. Grab the large copper line outside that is insulated and tell me if it is cold. It should be cold like a Pepsi out of the fridge!

HVAC problem

One thing you can check is the condensation line to see if there are wires going to it. This is the plastic pipe coming out of the indoor unit. If there is a float switch and the condesate line is clogged then it will not allow the a/c to operate. If the line is clogged you can use a WET/DRY vacuum on the end of the pipe which should be next to the outdoor unit. Hope this solves the problem. Good luck. Keep me posted please.
