Unfortunately, if you have two unitswhich use similar remote control signals then there is not a lot you can do except prevent one of the units from receiving signals (or replace one of the units with a different make). If you use the TV remote control only very rarely then you might get by with sticking some black cable insulating tape over the Infra Red pick-up on the TV (usually somewhere on the bottom edge of the screen).
I would return the digital box and get a different make/model.

My polariod 1700lcd TV will not change from air to digital signal how do I change this

I would have thought you could just select a different source from the remote. Can't you do that? Usually press the source button a few times to go through the different options on the screen.Need to select the analogue tv through the antenna or else digital tv through the set top box I guess so you would need to select the right source where the box is connected..
Did you do the initial set up and let it auto tune all the analogue channels when you first plugged it in.
I found this in the online manual but the preset button is one of the 3 menu items you can't select so you may not be able to follow this instruction any way.---------------------------------------------------5.Air/Cable selection
You can select the signal receiving method according to the following steps:1) Press the MENU button to enter the main menu.2) Press the button to select the itemPRESET, and press the button to enterPRESET menu.3) Press the button to select the item tv source.4) Press the button to change the item among air, catv s, catv h and cath i.6.Channel search------------------------------------------------have you checked if the parental lock is on or if some of the channels are locked out from the initial channel set up screen?
Saw someone else make a comment that they got the tv new and it had a vchip blocked when they first got it out of the box and lots of channels were locked off and took him 2 hours to figure out how to unlock it from the menu. Didn't say how he did it unfortunately.
This is the manual if you don;t have one already any ways.

Hope you can figure it out.

Starview box(3 YEAR OLD)gone off, follwed instructions to factory

1st have you scanned the correct provider ex NTL, TW etc?

2nd did the scan find any channels or none at all?

EMU is the emulation to unscramble the channels, to access this in a starview press menu enter 1570 to bring up the secret menu, scroll down to Key EMU and use the <> buttons to turn on.

Exit out and select a PPV channel eg Sky Sports 1 and it will update. You are then set to go.

If no channels are picked up with the scan then check the VM website to see if there are engineering works in the area causing the problem.

I just did a factory reset this morning and I had the same problem until I realised that you have to use the "Output" button to get the Video Outputs to DVI Digital (see page 17 of the manual), if that's what your connection is, then I could select "menu" and do a channel search. Hope this helps.
