GMC305PD When oven is off, it beeps then it locks on its own and the broiler burner comes on, then we get an E3 and F2 error. When you try to push stop/cancel or open the door the display reads "hot". You can shut of the circuit breaker and turn it back on then it is unlocked and off, but a few minutes later it will do the same thing all over again.

Appears that it is starting up the self cleaning feature ( which runs the temp up to the max to burn off any grease etc ) and locks the door.. You may have a defective control board.. or check the self cleaning switch position to make sure that is not activated... Hope that helps..

F2-E3 error means open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you want to do it yourself and wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter between 1080-1120ohms....if it reads more then or less then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around between 1080-1120ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. F2 error code
Similar problem. When baking over 400 degrees we get the F2 code that can only be reset by cycling the power at the breaker. Replaced the electonics to no avail. I'm thinking its the cooling fan located between the oven and microwave (upper unit) it never comes on which may cause a separate temp switch to generate the F2... but I'm not a pro. :)
