For your information -
A charge-coupled device (CCD) is a device for the movement of electrical charge, usually from within the device to an area where the charge can be manipulated, for example conversion into a digital value. CCD a major technology for digital imaging.
In a CCD device, the charge is actually transported across the chip and read at one corner of the array.
An analog-to-digital converter turns each pixel's value into a digital value. CCDs use a special manufacturing process to create the ability to transport charge across the chip without distortion.
This process leads to very high-quality sensors in terms of fidelity and light sensitivity.
CCD sensors, as mentioned above, create high-quality, low-noise images.
CCDs use a process that consumes lots of power.
CCD sensors have been mass produced for a longer period of time, so they are more mature. They tend to have higher quality and more pixels.
Contact the local dealer or customer service to have it repaired. If they raise their hands then I am afraid you have to go for a new one. If they can repair it then see the cost aspect. Is it cheaper to get it repaired with warranty? If not then go for a new one as it will have warranty in case something goes wrong. Sometimes the parts are very expensive.
See your budget.
Please go in for a new one which will save you all the problems in future

thankyou guru. That was very informative. Alot of us just buy a camera turn it on and "CLICK".
You wouldn't happen to know if the camera is worth repairing or to just get a new one?
Unfortunatly we didnt know that this might be the cause . We only found out just recently that the CCD needs fixing due to the lc being cracked and replaced. So now these have arisen.
THANKX GURU........lol :)
