Well i have an asus k8s mx mother borad.....recently my system sound was shut down.... and when i checkd device manager.... i found a big question mark with an exclamation infront of multimedai audio controller.... and in control panel its shown no audio device found...... i dont hav acd to reinstall the driver.... how to know my driver version and from where can i get it?

if you are having problems with your sound
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers if you dont have a motherboard disc you will have to download the drivers
cnetdownload.com if these drivers are not suitable on the home page you should see the download software finder under that there will be a list platform, category sub category price fromthe category drop down list select drivers then from the price drop down list select free or which ever applies to your need or you could try some of these

My motherboard is asus K8S-MX. realtek is not compatible with this. I need a proper working soundmax audio driver for this. Please post the link. I downloaded soundmax from few websites but they are not...

Asus P5GC-mx mother board with realtek sound issue

Hi Brother
I had that problem and it was difficult to resolve, which made me frustrated those Mother Board
But I after several tests and found the following tricks
1 - after the preparation of the system (Windows)
Put the CD in CD or DVD the system and careful, but do not process definition Automatic
Will go to Device Manager then drive up date LAN and Vega will work no problems
But the sound card will search in CD or DVD and not work then go to auto ran and install realtek audio and setup it and Follow the instructions then Restart the system

Asus k8s mx mother board problem

To get rid of this message at boot you must turn off the Chassis Intrusion detector feature. To do this you must restart the computer, as it boots press DEL to enter BIOS.
Under the SECURITY tab in BIOS select CHASSIS INTRUSION and select DISABLE.
Then select EXIT and SAVE CHANGES and OK to reboot the system.
