SOURCE: set up of a Microsoft wireless keyboard & mouse

The devices probably came with a USB cable and a receiver, or just a USB equiped receiver, that you need to plug into your computer. Go ahead and plug the cable and receiver into the computer so that your wireless mouse and keyboard has a means to communicate with the computer. Next, Here is a website address where you can download drivers for your mouse and keyboard. You must first choose either mouse or keyboard, then the exact product and model, then the operating system, and finally the language. repeat the process for the other device (mouse or keyboard, whichever you did not choose first). Good Luck! And let me know if there are any further problems.

How to hookup a microsoft keyboard to a hewlett packard desktop

You simply connect the receiver to one of the available USB ports. Ensure that there are fresh batteries installed in the keyboard. Once the receiver powers up, the OS in the PC should recognize and install it. The receiver may start up with a scanning sequence where the three lights blink in sequence. This means that the receiver is searching for the wireless device. On the back of the keyboard is a small recessed button. Press this button and the receiver should find the keyboard and stop the scan.

I have a microsoft model 1011 wireless keyboard with no receiver. Is there a receiver available to make it work?

I find alot of wireless microsoft and logitech keyboards at thrift stores, also mice. Every microsoft keyboard I bought works with my microsoft receiver. Same with logitech. Try looking in the thrift stores for your receiver, or go on ebay. Both will have great deals. I buy keyboards for 5 and 6 dollars!

Keys don't work at all

Make sure the wireless is working fine and has good batteries in them. Try reinstalling it and see if all lights go on the keyboard. If not there might be an interferance in the system and the keys are not computing well. Try number lock and caps lock
