My Samsung Instinct doesn't ring when receiving a voice call or text, or acknowledge the call on the phone as it is being received. Call goes to voicemail. Ringer setting is on 7. The phone is almost 3 months old and I am not a heavy user, and do not get a lot of calls or texts. This is a new problem; it was ringing until recently.

your phone is on 'do not disturb mode'. call your provider and ask how to shut it off. for telus mobility it is *79 then hit send

You need to contact your service provider to have them extend the ringtime. This can be done, up to 30 seconds.

some Samsungs have a 'block list'. I am quite sure that the D900 has it. All you have to do is when you receive a text from this number select options, and you should see in sub menu 'add to block list'. I am not sure if it also blocks calls once added to the list? Hope that helps?
