Sylvania 19 inch flat panel LCD tv not working, how to troubleshoot. storm came through and knocked power out for a second. TV will not show any signs of life

The main power supply has failed
Look into having a tech replace it

    i noticed the fuse was blown, tried replacing that. and it instantly goes out again. I will look into having a tech replace the main power supply. Thanks for the help!

    Have the tech check the capacitors also....cheap repair.

How do I fix 19" Digital LCD TV. No picture or sound.
If you have no sound and no video the most likely you have fried your motherboard. If you have done that it's only a 19 inch TV honey. You'll be better off replacing the whole TV.

Comcast code difficult to find
Difficult or impossible----Sony and Mitsubishi have less than 5 common codes but Philips who is Sylvania at last count had over 30 and some units with their name are made by other companies and will each have a different and non Philips codes----the comcast remote does not have that many codes for this purpose.

Talk to Sylvania about your TV. If your TV is fried (if it's off it's still vulnerable) they MIGHT be nice and replace it. I recommend you protect all your electronics with surge protectors, since they'll help you should this happen again.
