Whenever my friend tries to make a call on his BB8520 it displays "call failed". How can this be fixed? He got the phone from his service provider

Can the BB receive calls ok? If not, is the sim activated and the mobile network switched to ON on the phone (GPRS/EDGE) should be displayed next to some signal bars at the top right of the screen. If they are both ok, try a battery pull, if that doesnt work try the phone in a different area to see if they get any success. Normally this messge does point to a network issue

Radio path unavailable cant dial out on blackberry pearl

I know this issue, you need to call your wireless provider and ask them to run a voice trace on that call you dialed..once the trace is done, they will be able to identify the issue and fix it in < 24 hours.

Hope this was helpful...

No tower available to call on. Maybe too busy or too small. Call your cell service on a land line for them to research
