Sony TV kds60a2020 replaced lamp and power lights blinks three times. Checked to make sure lamp was secure. Would light still blink if defective bulb?

Hi,
Please make sure lamp cover is fixed properly as it was removed to replace/ check lamp in tv.
If lamp cover is not fixed, tv will not turn On and red light will blink 3 times.

The tv know the door isnt on because of an internal switch. Make sure all doors are on usually three blinks indicates door isnt on. If the tv still doesnt power on your balast might be out.

Turn off the television.

Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.

If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

If the issue continues to occur, service may be required.

If red light blinks 3 times when tv refuse to power up then check lamp cover that was removed to replace lamp, make sure lamp cover is fixed in its position securely and screw is tight.
Let me know how many times red light is blinking after three second long pause IF it is not blinking 3 times.

Three times light blinking shows that lamp cover has not been fixed on its location after lamp replacement.
Lamp cover is first thing that you removed to replace lamp, make sure it is fixed securely back in its place then turn tv On.

If the POWER/STANDBY indicator flashes three times, the lamp cover may not be attached securely. Review the lamp-changing instructions in your owner's manual, and make sure that the lamp cover is securely attached.

mine does the same thing....it can keep doing that for hours, and then just clears up...the lamp light never comes on...did anyone answer this [email protected]

Make sure that lamp door is fixed securely and pressing lamp door switch as 3 times blinks shows lamp door switch is not On.

same problem as others 3 blinking green lights then orangey colors then 3 red blinking lights afterwards shuts down fan runs for about 2 mins solution check your door cover for warpage or deformed just a bit under set screw there is a push in switch try and push it in with q tip while holding turn on tv if it works then that door is deformed and defective change it
