I have a Baumatic fridge/freezer the fridge is not cold even on maximum setting the model number is BRB2713 please can you suggest what the problem might be

If the refrigerator is in the house and the temperature in side is between 60 and 80 it should be able to hold good temperatures. If it is in a garage or outside it will not work as well.

If it is inside the first thing to try is resetting the controls. Turn the Fresh food control to a low setting and the freezer setting to maximum. Wait 24 hours and recheck. If this does not work you will need to replace the cold control. To find the part number you will need the complete model number located on the tag.

Could you please tell us where you are from and any model number if possible ?

if just the refrige isnt cold,check the damper door located between the freezer and refrige compartments and see if its open to let in cold air from freezer,if not sometimes they freeze shut and cant operate with temperature setting changes/if nothings cold,then replace the ptc overload relay located on the compressor body,it just unplugs off the compressor

can you hear the fan running in the freezer. is the fan under the frige running, is it clean under it, is the the back cover missing where the compressor is. please provide a full model number for step by step help.

Locate the model and serial number on the fridge/freezer write it down then look in the yellow pages for a refridgeration supply business in your area,they should be able to help you obtain a replacement thermostat.

If all else fails I would completely defrosted the unit.If there is any blockage this will open up all the tubes.Unplug it open the doors put pans of hot water in the freezer to speed up the process.
Make sure your fan is still working ,its located behind the freezers back wall. If it is working the vent from the freezer down to the refridgerater may be blocked.With out a fan you have no circulation but your freezer may look likes its working,it may last 3 days.Also if you can move everything out unplug it turn it off w/ doors open 12 to 24 hrs this will free up any clogged tubes.
