I am having trouble getting a wi-fi connection with my DS lite. It is unable to find an access point even though I am in proximity of a wireless network and my other devices and computers are able to find...

I've found that my DS won't connect to, and will sometimes not detect wireless networks if the encryption type is WP. I would suggest accessing the router settings and changing the password so that is uses a WEP encryption.

It could also be an issue where the router already has the maximum number of devices connected to the network, or you're simply not getting a good signal.

I can t to conect my lenovo s103 wi fi

Hi elyflorin200,
I see that you have the s10-3 Netbook and that you wants to connect using Wifi.
  • On your Netbook make sure that the wireless switch on the side is switched on first.
  • On the lower right hand side you should see a wireless icon that looks like a signal bar indicating that your wireless is on and that it detects Networks in the area.
  • Point your mouse cursor on the signal bar on the lower right it should say Networks are detected or connect to a network.
  • If you do not see the signal bars then the wireless may still be OFF on your Netbook.
  • Try and Press FN+F5 the same time you should see a windows that will pop up saying Networks or it should say Wireless device or the name of your of your wireless card, check if the wireless is enable or turned on under current status.
  • If your S10-3 detects Networks click on you Routers name to be able to connect wireless it will prompt you for a security if in case your Router has a Network key or Security key you will need to type that in in order to get internet from he Router if ever you enter the incorrect Network/Security key i will give you an error.
  • If ever you get connected it will prompt you if you want to save the Network and if you want to connect Automatically put a check on Connect automatically so that every time you turn you S10-3 ON it will detect the wireless signal in your home.
For further information regarding you s10-3 you can to this link below http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/UserGuide/Guide_list.aspx?CategoryID=686287
I hope that this will be helpful regarding you question.
Have a nice day.

How doi installl wireless connection with an adapter I have a router on my computer and want install wireless connevtion on my MSI mini laptop with an adapter

If you already know the wireless settings of the router. for example: the SSID (the name of the network), Network Key (Password - if the network is secured) the all you have to do is to make sure that the laptop is able to detect the wireless signal then you can just connect to it.

Hi

To find your wireless connection, do the following steps

1. Start - Network Connection and then click
2. See whether there is any connection is active
3. If you don't have a connection, you have to add a new connection follow as per your manual
4. Check your wireless router password and signal strength

Still cannot find the solution, reset your wireless router in your laptop.

HP 550 - Unable to detect just a particular wireless network

Given all the circumstances, I can only guess that, for some inexplicable, apparant reason, your network card in your computer is the culprit. Try to get a friend who has the same model to swap cards with you, then you'll know for sure. The other problem could be something to do with the signal and some slight anomoly that is causing your card a problem in detecting it. A communications signal is complicated, and some wireless modems have better circuitry than others, depending on the model. But no matter how we speculate, this is just one of those Twilight Zone enigmas! Best of luck- tricky problem, for sure.

Do I need two wireless network adapters? I looked in the device manager folder in network adapters and there are 2... Intel (R) Pro/1000 PL Network Connection #2 and Intel (R) Pro/wireless 3945ABG...

You should have only 1 wireless adapter, the other 1 is the ethernet adapter. If you experience low signal strength even after updating the drivers, you need to customize wireless settings on the router.
You need to change the wireless mode to "802.11b and 802.11g" or "802.11g", whatever you have in your router. If this is the same with all wireless networks, wherever you go, then its an issue with the adapter, you should get a replacement.
