Re: My Lenovo-3000-N500 has gone totaly dead and cannot...
Clearly it's a hardware issue if your laptop is still in warranty call lenovo thinkline @ 18004267378 because it might be a possible DC-IN port or motherboard problem..Request for service repair.
My Lenovo 3000-N500(Type 4233-79G) (1.5 Yrs Old) will not boot from Battery or Power Adaptor. Both power sources are OK & when both power sources plugged on to this machine, this laptop displays Battery Charging Light only with ACtoDC power adaptor connected to this machine and during this time or any time this machine cannot be turned on at all and so it will not go through booting sequence in 1st place!!!!!!! [Notes: This laptop has Win-Vista-Home-Premium-SP2 -32Bit preinstalled. This machine started displaying horizontal line flashes across it's display-screen at intermittantly which got to the maximum within a total period of two weeks. This effect was shown during boots ups & at normal running of the machine. At boot-ups I had to press enter button to get to the window's password-login-screen. But before the login the screen it was wildly going flashing across the whole screen horizontaly. So I took apart this machine to check CMOS(BIOS) Clock Battery of 3Volts onboard voltage which showed zero volts so I unsoldered this rechargeble 3V Battery & checked it's voltage with DMM & it read 3.135V. Hmmmm - so it seems the Battery is OK(MotherBoard is Hannstar JIWA-3LA-4212P-Rev:2.0). I have re-assembled the whole machine back as should be with CMOS original Battery in soldered position and retried booting to get this made in china machine back into the life from total death but got no success in getting it booted]. I wonder whether it has built in chronic in health problem/s or else. I would be most obliged if you could show me remedial action/s to this totaly dead lenovo notebook laptop.
