I have several VSI-PROs connected to Aloha POS' through COM2. Everything works fine except some transactions are missing - they just never show on the screen (I know this because I verified the transactions against an Aloha audit report). The missed items are random and this occurs on all three units we have.

Do an hourly reading. Use sub/total button on X

tried to reboot and use the Key f8 for to obligate o.system to show the way for window in safe mode, and correct the problem.
Run the CHKDSK for troubleshooting.
Update after your fix the BIOS AND CHIPSET.
Pass the Antivirus+Malware.

iv had the same problem also with a multi-tech comm modem, only way i'v found to get the problem fixed is to restart the server and run command vfxserver start

Sometime we lock our vsi joystick by mistake. Here are the instructions on how to lock and unlock your joystick.

LOCKING/UNLOCKING THE VSI

The VSI has a feature that enables you to lock your power chair to prevent

unauthorized use.

To lock the VSI:

1. With the VSI powered on, press and hold the on/off key. After one (1)

second, the VSI should beep.

2. Release the on/off key.

3. Push the joystick to the full forward position until the VSI beeps.

4. Pull the joystick to the full rearward position until the VSI beeps.

5. Release the joystick. There should be a long beep.

6. The VSI is now locked.

To unlock the VSI:

1. Press the on/off key and power on the VSI. The maximum speed/profile
indicator should ripple side to side.

Did you reformat with the manufacturer's discs? If not, you are likely missing the LAN drivers for your NIC (Network INterface Card). Right-click on My Computer and select Manage. this will bring up the Device Manager screen, and if you see a yellow question mark next to the LAN driver then this is the reason.

One it is most likely you are getting communications errors while Pc Charge is dialing out which I am assuming you are using DIAL up.
You need to upgrade to Version 5.7.1 or above and then use dial or highspeed connection.

When the software dials out to the bank for approval while that process is going on your communication drops and then PC Charge will have no way of recording the Approval back. So in turn you are running it again where the approval for the first sal e was already done but the response was not captured. Your bank can put duplicate trans stops on the front end. Make sure you upgrade to the newest version.

most likely you have a broken (inside the cable ) ribbone to the touch screen this can happen with age, or the handling of the system, thre is not a quick fix for these touch screens apply for a service tech on onforce.com you should be ok with one of them.
