Samsung HL-P5085W menu access problem

The error code 73 means that you have a paper jam or a paper sensor problem.

Yes. This is a good set. Picture is good. But keep in mind that Samsung no longer makes this set and stopped making DLP tv"s. Parts are dwindling.

Samsung is known for bad color wheels and for what you describe it surely sounds like the color wheel bearing if going out on you,you will need to replace the color wheel you can find more help @ fixyourdlp.com and if you want to buy the part you can find it @ http://www.discount-merchant.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=color%20wheel?click=52978 or @ http://www.samsungparts.com/search/search.asp , just so you can be 100% sure you will need to get the part number from the actual color wheel that you already have,

Hi,it sounds like your lamp is going bad,its symptoms are : will shut off and on,led indicators.The lamp on your set last 6000-8000 hrs 2--3 yrs and its made by Philips .Found it here: http://www.discount-merchant.com/Samsung-BP96-00677A-OEM-Replacement-LAMP-BULB-p/samsung-bp96-00677a-lamp-oem.htm?Click=48173 If you've replaced the lamp before it might be the board that powers it ,it's called the ballast.Good luck nad God bless you!
