I cant seem to send or recieve a picture message with my samsung T301G phone. please tell me how to fix this problem.

Hi, this is a very common problem and it usually happens when you have just brought a phone or if you have changed the sim card for one from another network.

to solve this problem all you need to do is contact your service provider and tell them what phone and that you need the latest mms settings sent to your phone, also ask for internet settings if you are unsure if your settings are correct, your service provider will send the settings via text message these messages will then ask you to press update once you select update it will then store these new settings on your phone.
Your service provider wont charger for this service and the text are free also so its not going to cost you anything, you can also sometimes send the settings to your phone yourself from your service providers web site, how ever not all service providers off this feature so you would need to check.

Once your phone has the new settings you will be able to send and receive mms pictures and videos, the settings will tell your phone the correct format to store and send the mms messages and it will then be all working for you.

Their is no other way of updating your phone without having the settings sent to your phone so try their web site or give them a call if their is no option on their site to send the settings yourself.

let me know if you have any problems

Hi there I am trying to help my girlfriend out as it is her mobile not mine. Network: Vodafone on PAYG She has spoken to Vodafone about not being able to look at the videos, pictures & photos that she...

Check that the correct settings are saved on phone, go to messages, scroll down, message settings and look for the vodaphone prepay or payg. make sure its selected and save. Then go to internet settings and check again that payg is selected. Turn phone off and on and see if that helps, if not pop in 2 a vodaphone shop and they will do it for yous! Hope this helped.

My Sony Ericsson W995 will not send or receive picture messages

These settings are operator specific. I know with Vodafone you can go on to their web site or into a shop give your phone number and they will send you the settings in an update like a text message. I suggest you have a look with your operators web site.

I dont understand, I just want to open up my phone and receive a picture message..jst had it installed why do I need to go to web site and collect the pxt and enter in the code..I am totally confused

ok generally if you have to access your photo message via a website it means you dont have the mms gateway settings for your mobile provider, I would 1st of all go to your mobile providers website and search for mms settings.

As an example I will give you my New Zealand Vodafone provider settings which is APN vodafone.net.nz
we must also use an IP address that defines the mms proxy server which is 172.30.38.3 via port 9201

If you google or search your providers website"Wireless data portal (insert mobile provider name and country code)" can sometimes find a list that will allow you to choose your mobile brand and model, enter your phone number and then you will receive the setting automatically via sms.

It would help if you could inform us who your mobile provider is, other than that give them a call and Im sure they will be able to install the relevant setting for you at a retail outlet.

Hope that helps

Unable to send/rec pictures SE W850i

Hi,

I think the problem here is with your connection. I understand that you have the right settings from your operator...however you should check with them to see if your line is data enabled for MMS (this is how your pictures are sent....in an MMS message).

Picture messaging

you need to speak to your service provider as they have not sent the text set up to your sim card to allow MMS (multi media services) for accepting and sending photos. If you have just purchased the phone it can take upto 24 hours for your sim to set up fully depending on your service provider.
