Hello tman.. when the engine runs but the trimmer does not turn it generally means that the slender drive shaft that runs from the engine to the trimmer is broken and must be replaced. Good news is that Echo tools have a 5 year warranty so find an echo dealer and he will fix it or replace it if it is less than 5 years old. joe
