This may sound silly, but I have done this as well. New ink cartridges are shipped with "covers" that should be removed prior to installation. Please verify that these plastic covers have been removed. This is the most common cause of this problem. The covers look like transparent tape.

Update this with the results of your examination.

Thanks,
Dan

Brother DCP-350C magenta ink won't clean and print quality check shows multiple visible gaps

You have a blockage in the print head and/or feed line from the ink cartridge to the print head. One possible fix would be to make a pad of paper kitchen towel wet it and sit the print head on it overnight. With luck the pad will soak the blockage and draw ink through the head. Give the machine two self cleans and try a print quality test to see if you have made ANY improvement. If no improvement - forget it as the blockage has been there too long.

The black ink has stopped printing. Put in two different new cartridges and that doesn't seem to be the problem. It was first noticed when photos were printing out funny even after changing the color...

Make sure you are inserting genuine Lexmark cartridges.
Try to clean the cartridge nozzles. Refer to the steps below:

Cleaning the Print Cartridge Nozzles:

1. Open the Lexmark Solution Center. Click Start > Programs or All Programs > Lexmark 1300 Series. Select Solution Center.

2. From the Maintenance tab, click Clean to fix horizontal streaks.

3. Click Print. A nozzle page prints, forcing ink through the nozzles to clean the clogged nozzles.

4. Print the document again to verify that print quality has improved.

Using the control panel

1. Press Menu.

2. Press the down arrow button until you highlight Clean Cartridge.

3. Press Select. A nozzle page prints, forcing ink through the nozzles to clean the clogged nozzles.

4. Print the document again to verify that print quality has improved.

The printer marks an error with the color cartridge, i open it check it and still has ink, but still doesnt wanna print, what can i do? Its a lexmark x 2695

It could be that the color cartridge has gone bad now. Try to re-seat the color cartridge in the printer. And if that doesn't help, try to insert a different known working color cartridge to identify if it's a faulty cartridge issue.

How do i change an ink cartrige in a canon 160 printe

The Canon Pixma inkjet printer is an all-in-one printer, scanner and copier capable of printing high-resolution photos. One handy feature is a slot for a memory card so you print photographs directly from your camera. It can also print completely without any border for full-sheet photos. Printing photos and other high-fidelity documents uses up ink more quickly, and you will probably need to replace at least one of your cartridges every three to six months, a process that should take you about three to five minutes.

1.urn on the printer and check the LCD screen for an indication of which ink cartridges are low. Note that recycled ink cartridges sometimes read "Ink low" even when they still have ink, so print a test page if you're not sure.

2.Expose the ink tray by lifting the entire LCD control panel, which is attached to the underside of the copier tray.

3.Pull out the used ink cartridge by pulling straight up from the print head, and dispose of them safely and carefully by putting them in a sealed bag.

4.Remove gently any packaging from the new ink, after giving it a few shakes. Pull off the protective tab on the cartridge, insert the new cartridge into the print head and push down until you feel a click. Close the printer lid and let the printer reset the ink tray.

5.Print a test page to make sure the new ink works. If it doesn't, you may have forgotten to remove the protective tab under the cartridge.

My printer dont print right it skips and i just put a new refill in

It could be due to the refilled cartridge you are inserting in the printer. Refilled cartridges tend to degrade in print quality and cartridge performance.
You can try to clean the cartridge nozzles. On the printer operator panel, on Copy mode, press the Menu button > Tools > Maintenance > Clean Cartridges. Your printer will then print a test page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them.
Try to print your document again to verify that the print quality has improved.
If that doesn't help, I would suggest you replace your refilled cartridges with new genuine Lexmark cartridges.

I have an HP Photosmart 2575 all-in-one printer, and my black is not working I just replaced it with a new cartridge and it still doesn't print the black.

The new ink-cartridge probably is OK.

So, start the HP Printing Assistant Software, and run the "Print-Head-Cleaning" utility, to run a few cycles. Hopefully, it will unclog the ink-jets that _should_ be spraying ink onto the paper.

All the pages I print are blank. There is sufficient ink the print preview shows the image but the actual print out is blank

Sounds like your print heads are clogged. This is quite common. Go into your printer's menu and find the maintenance menu and follow the steps to clean your print heads. Run the process everal times until the prints are 100%. Then run a printhead alignment. Regardless of whether your not your ink is full, if cleaning the heads several times does not solve the issue, put new ink cartridges in because you may have bad cartridges. If that doesn't work, you've got bigger issues, contact the manufacturer.

My black ink will not print. Do I have to have

The larger of the two black cartridges is used for text only printing.

The saller cartridge is used for black in graphic images or pictures.

This saves you color ink . It allows you to put the black ink on the image without making the color inks blend the black ink.
