I cant send or receive pictures through my sms

SMS stands for short message service. Simply put, it is a method of communication that sends text between cell phones, or from a PC or handheld to a cell phone. The "short" part refers to the maximum size of the text messages: 160 characters (letters, numbers or symbols in the Latin alphabet). For other alphabets, such as Chinese, the maximum SMS size is 70 characters.

My phone wont receive messages, it sends them fine however it just all of a sudden stopped be able to receive them, do you know how to fix it?

Hello

  1. Delete any messages currently in your inbox, or outbox. (When your phone reaches its maximum message size, it will prevent future messages from being sent or received.)

  1. Contact your service provider to make sure this service is available. (Text messaging is a service provider controlled feature. You may have to add this feature to your plan, make a payment, or there may be a problem on the service provider's end.

My phone keeps saying memory full.. cannot receive any messages or send messages from my cellphone..please assist me..

Hi there, In order to start sending and receiving messages again you're going to need to clear up some memory. To do this, you're going to need to go through your messages first. Clear out all your sent and received text messages. There should be a delete all option, but if there isn't, you may have to do it one by one. Once you've cleared out messages, you may want to look into deleting a lot of pictures as well. Pictures use up memory very quickly. Good luck, Alex

I can receive text but cant send.....says protocal error...unspecified i have reset the phone and still nothing was workin fine yesterday

Hi the problem you are having is with your message center number this is a common problem and usually happens after you have changed your sim card to another network all you need to do to solve this problem is call your service provider and tell them the make and model of phone you have then ask them for the correct message center number.
they wont charge for this and they will tell you how to set it up, you will also need to ask them to send you the latest wap and mms settings so you can use the net and send and receive picture messages. they wont charge for this either and they will send you these settings via txt message and this will then update your phone to the latest settings.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

I am unable to send or receive pictures through texting. It says "sending failed Connection refused Retry?" Never had this problem until yesterday. What happened?

The unlimited messaging feature does not include internet and picture messaging requires internet to be able to send/receive. You need to call AT&T and see if you have an internet feature or go to www.wireless.att.com and register your mobile number and see if you have an internet feature. If not then that is why it is not working

The only time that happened with mine was when the internal memory was almost full. Try moving some stuff to the memory card. those phones only have about 5MB of internal.
If that doesnt work then your phone is not unlocked for internet and mms use. You could be paying for the service and your phone isn't set up for it. Only your carrier can activate it unless you know how to hack it.
Or, you could be just outside the GSM data coverage area.
