Ice maker stopped making ice. For this problem you have check few things. First thing, is the water filling in the ice maker chamber and then ice maker not making ice? Or, the water is not filling in the ice maker chamber so it's not making ice. If the water is not filling in the ice maker chamber then it's clear that ice is not getting made due to no water in the chamber. For no water filling, the problem is either water supply valve turned off so water is not filling. Turn on the water supply and it will fill. But if the water supply is turned on then the other possibility is ice blockage in the water fill tube. There is a tube from which the water runs and enters the ice maker chamber. If this tube is blocked then water will not enter the chamber. The tube needs to be defrosted, by using hair dryer. This procedure melts the ice collected in the tube and water starts running again. But if water fill tube is completely clear and no ice blockage or any other blockage. Then other possibility is water valve at the back of ice maker unit. This water valve is for letting the water in the ice maker. The water valve open only for 7 seconds and in this time the water fills in the ice maker chamber and then water valve closes and the same procedure runs again in the next water filling cycle.------- For your information I will mention that there are two valves. One is the main valve the back of the fridge section. This main valve lets the water enter the refrigerator and other valve is at the back of ice-maker section. This other valve lets the water to enter the ice maker. In most of the cases the fault is water valve at the back of ice maker section. ------------- The other above possibilities which I gave you is water not filling in ice-maker chamber so it's not making ice. But now consider that water is filling in ice maker chamber but it's still not making ice. Then the problem is ice maker unit itself. This unit is controlled by main board. But in most cases if water is filling the ice maker but it's not making ice then its faulty ice maker unit. So see if the problem is water not entering the ice maker then the water fill tube is frosted by ice or the water valve at the back of ice maker is faulty. Replace the valve. ------------

WRF535SMBMOO Whirlpool refrigerator without door water dispenser, but has ice maker, why does ice maker start and stop making ice ? Ice "arm" is in on position but no ice being made.

If your Whirlpool WRF535SMBMOO refrigerator has an ice maker that starts and stops making ice, there could be a problem with the ice maker itself or with the water supply to the ice maker. Here are a few things you can try to fix the problem:
  1. Make sure that the ice maker is turned on. The ice maker has an on/off switch or button that you may need to activate to start making ice.
  2. Check the water supply line to make sure it is not kinked or clogged. The water supply line delivers water to the ice maker, and if it is blocked, the ice maker will not be able to make ice.
  3. Check the water inlet valve to make sure it is open and functioning properly. The water inlet valve is responsible for controlling the flow of water to the ice maker, and if it is not working properly, the ice maker will not be able to make ice.
  4. Check the ice maker for any visible damage or debris. If the ice maker is damaged or clogged with debris, it may not be functioning properly.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, it is possible that there is a problem with the ice maker itself. In this case, you may need to have the ice maker inspected by a technician to determine the cause of the issue.

I have a Kitchen Aid under the counter Ice maker. When you power it on it cycles water and then the power button light flashes several times and powers off.

If your KitchenAid under-counter ice maker is cycling water but then powers off with the power button flashing several times, there may be a few possible causes. Here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check the water supply: Make sure that the water supply line is properly connected and the water is flowing to the ice maker. If the water supply is blocked or not reaching the ice maker, it may not be able to function properly.
  2. Clean the condenser coils: Dirty condenser coils can cause the ice maker to overheat and shut off. Make sure to clean the coils regularly to prevent this issue.
  3. Check the drain pump: If the drain pump is not functioning properly, the ice maker may shut off to prevent water from overflowing. Check the drain pump for any clogs or damage and replace it if necessary.
  4. Check the water inlet valve: The water inlet valve is responsible for letting water into the ice maker. If it is not functioning properly, the ice maker may shut off. Test the valve for continuity using a multimeter and replace it if necessary.
  5. Check the control board: If all other components are functioning properly, the issue may be with the control board. Test the control board for proper voltage and replace it if necessary.

If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to call a professional technician to diagnose and repair the problem with your KitchenAid under-counter ice maker.

Ice maker is not functioning. no ice being made.

There are a few basic things you need to make ice. First is a refrigerator that is cold enough. Most ice makers in refrigerators need 15 degrees or colder in the compartment that the ice maker is located. Second, a functioning water valve and ice maker. What model of refrigerator do you have?

Ice maker is not going to harvest mode.

a) Either Ice maker is faulty. Change Ice maker.

b) Before that make sure that freezer compartment has reached minimum temparature for the ice maker to function properly. Normally it is - 11 c or lower. You have a freezer temperature like -18c and not harvesting then problem is on icemaker. Sometime you can pull the power out from ice maker unit and plug back after couple of minutes to reset the ice maker unit control board. It might work again.

I have a kitchenaid 23cd.Icemaker doesn't work has 40# water pressure 5 deg in freezer water works to fill glass no water in ice tray unpluged for 24 hours

If the water dispenser is working and fill glass function is working but the ice maker section there is no water in the tray then its faulty ice maker valve. This is a twin valve. The valve is one unit, but has two sections one for water and one for ice dispenser. This valve is got faulty and not working for both sections so water is not entering the ice maker tray.
There is a water valve at the back of the ice maker. This valve controls the flow of water in the ice maker chamber. If this valve is not functioning as required then water will not enter the ice maker. This valve is at the back of ice maker connected to the water fill tube.It has to be replaced to clear this problem.

Samsung fridge rb215 bottom freezer ice maker

On most samsung Refrigerator ice makers there will be a button on it to test the functionality of the ice maker. Its a small button covered with clear rubber. When you locate it hold that down for 10 to 15 seconds and if it is functional it should run through its paces. Is it the ice maker in the left fridge door , the freezer compartment, or the one inside the fridge to the left?
