Error Code 6A00 is a problem with the sheet feed unit. You cannot fix it by yourself because you do not have the tools to fix the printer.
You go to a Canons Support Page and ask for a replacement if it is still under warranty or you replace the printer with a new one.

SOURCE: Error code 6A00

6A00 error on a Canon IP4200 is an AP Postion Error. This means one of three things. A problem with the sheet feeder, Logic board or the Purge Unit. Sadly these part are either working or not working and are difficult to repair. You could try resetting the EEPROM on the unit by entering service mode. A service manual will show you how to do that:

SOURCE: Error Code 6A00 for MP830

try simply moving the cartridge back and forth a few times first

Because: 6A00 is a problem with the sheet feed unit. Follow Canon's suggestion, take it or send the unit UPS to the Authorized Repair Facility. You will NOT be able to resolve the problem yourself.

6A00 means you need a new purge assembly. That's the unit that cleans the printhead. Part number is QM2-3032-000 around $30.00 but a shop should install it.

SOURCE: Canon MP830 error code 6A00

HI,

Please the pixma off and open the lid.Now manually slide the cartridge-tray to the left.

Use a piece of tissue to clean the base-pad where the heads are stored.See if it is stuck in a kind of upward position and look if the mechanism that moves the tray is released if not then touch it and it will be loose. Remove all ink residue, move the tray back to its most right position and close everything.

Let me know if you still get the same error.

Thank you

That error says the purge unit is broken. You will need to have the purge assembly replaced.
It's # QM2-3032-000 but a shop should replace it for you.

Canon Mp780 error code 6A00

6A00 is not a jam error, it is an error of the purge assembly not cycling properly. Many times a paper scrap jammed in the capping assembly or the squeegee assembly caught on the filter assembly. Usually worn out gears and dried ink so that replacement of the purge assembly is the best fix.
