Hi, when a phones touch screen malfunctions, it means that the touch
pad
is damaged seriously and it needs to be replaced.
Mostly it is
caused by dropping the phone on the flow, hitting it on something or
even pressing the touch screen pad with the wrong instrument.(any sharp
object).
You can take it to a here by store for a replacement of
the touch pad.
NOTE:
phone is very delicate needs to be handled by an experienced personnel.
I have looked online to try and find a user manual - but had no luck - found averatec but not the model listed
I suspect, like a lot of other laptops, i suspect one of the F keys across the top disables the touch pad - It maybe a combination of keys like FN + F - I know the toshiba uses F9 to toggle the touchpad on/off
have a look at that possibility .
you did wrong things first ..
you needn't to download the driver as you are not sure of your model touchpad company. i think you have downloaded the wrong driver . first you have to knoew the company's name then go to thier official website thier check your driver version correctly. as you have a new system you needn't to download driver as they are installed when you buy it.
so try Roll Back Driver in device manager touch pad option after that ur touch pad works
Hi there. The touchpad drivers could be corrupt, try reinstalling the touchpad drivers again. Go here to Toshiba Support fill in the details of your model laptop and download the synaptics touchpad driver and reinstall it, see if that helps.
Mine did the same, touch pad became erratic then stopped working, I could still access everything when linked to a computer. Then all stopped, on power up I got a 00000010 or 0000020 error and nothing.
I popped the end caps off, removed the two small screws holding the back on and found the strap of wires connecting the hard drive was almost completely dissconnected. Pushed the connector back together , reassembled and now all working
Go to the 'start' button and then hit the 'control panel' option, then click 'mouse' then go to 'Device Settings' and then to the 'settings'. When you get to this screen it shows a list on lthe left hand side choose the 'tapping' option and then ok.
