Are you forget to install sound driver during installing operating system on your laptop? So first check that drivers are properly install or not. If it is not install, install it. If already installed, try to update it.

Still you are not getting any sound on your system so it also possible that the sound card is possibly dead. If the computer uses on-board sound (meaning there is no separate card with sound jacks on it), that is more problematic. That part on the board cannot be replaced without replacing the whole motherboard, normally. In either case, install a new sound card and use its jacks for audio.

Feel free to get technical assistance for system at http://www.vtechsquad.com/pc-support/, if the same problem is still occurring.

Well it is possible that the audio driver installed is not the one compatible with you computer board. Try downloading the specific driver needed for your computer's official website. This should solve your problem.

Audio output device

Hi.

The audio output device in your computer is the audio adapter board (or circuit). This is the device that produces sounds and send them to the speakers.

If you get a message telling you that there is no Audio Output Device detected, or that the Audio Device is not working, that usually means that there is a problem with the audio driver.

In that case the problem is often fixed downloading and reinstalling the drivers for your audio device. If there is a problem with the audio output device, go to the computer manufacturer website (e.g. Dell, HP, Sony etc.) and download the audio drivers for your specific model. When download is complete install the drivers and restart the computer.

Regards.

Problems with audio after installing radeon hd 2400

Hi,

This happens because the video card has hdmi output. Since hdmi output can carry audio signals also, the audio driver gets disabled. Uninstall audio driver and video driver both, install the video driver, and then install audio driver. after installing the audio driver, in playback and recording devices choose choose the audio output device you purchased along with the computer. This should fix the issue.

Revert back for any clarifications.

Warm Regards,
