I just purchased a black berry curve. I do not receive incoming calls. They go to voice mail. I have checked sounds and vibration. All seems to be working. What else can I try?

Follow the below instructions and you can remove the vibrate state. I have included a link to download the phone's manual as a PDF file.
Sound Settings Ringer Types Ringer types help you identify incoming calls and messages. You can assign ringer types to individual Contacts entries, types of calls, and types of messages. Downloaded Ringers can be downloaded right to your phone. Preprogrammed Ringers include a variety of standard ringer types and familiar music. Vibrating Ringer alerts you to calls or messages without disturbing others. Selecting Ringer Types for Voice Calls Your phone provides a variety of ringer options that allow you to customize your ring and volume settings. These options allow you to identify incoming calls by the ring. To select a ringer type for voice calls: 1. Select Menu > Settings > Sounds > Ringer Type > Voice Calls. 2. Select With Caller ID or No Caller ID.
My LG Optimus will not receive incoming calls. Whenever someone tries to call my phone it is showing missed call onlyl. I can still receive all other alerts such as sms, mms, and e mail but my voice calls are not coming through. What to do
I don't believe it's a malfunction. See if your current phone company has a voice mail active for your phone. If that's the case then odds are your voice mail is picking up before your answering machine.
I'm sorry to hear you are not receiving your telephone calls. As I understand your quesiton, you say all incoming calls go directly to voice mail.
I do not have experience with your make or model but I want to try to help you solve this trouble.
I have had several cellular phones that offered a feature called "Answering Machine". When set in "Answering Machine" mode, I could not receive incoming calls. All incoming calls went directly to my voice mail. I learned this when I inadvertently set my phone to use this feature. I turned it off and I started to receive phone calls again immediately.
I can't say this will solve your problem, but I hope it leads you to a solution. I know how frustrating it can be when you depend upon your cellular telephone and it doesn't do as you expect.
I hope this is the answer that fixes your situation. You may have to call your service provider for a resolution.
