Model GSD3620Z02BB - The normal cycle will not engage when the knob is turned. The short cycle will engage (sound like it is working) but the soap is left in the reservoir and about 2 inches of water is left in the bottom. Thank you for your help.

Sounds like the selector switch has gone bad. The machine is not fully cycling thru and draining because the selector isn't proceeding like it should.
This typically happens if the selector dial is spun real hard repeatedly over time. The little cogs inside of the selector will get broken and sometimes the broken parts will lodge inside the switch and cause jams.

I have a Roper Model RTW4440VQ2.

If you can rotate the timer to different places and the machine agitates and spins but the timer doesn't advance on it's own, then the timer motor is not engaging the timer, may have a bad gear. Usually you have to buy a whole timer to get a new motor and gear.
Check Repairclinic.com to see what's available.

Model: 110.29822800 Cycle Control knob seems loose. When turn knob clockwise and pull knob, it seems like out of position. For example, I set at Normal, rinse and pull knob. It rinse a minute or two and...

Could be one of two things. The knob or the timer. Both knobs and the timer through sears parts direct are under 100 probably with shipping. If the knob that you pull out and push in does not feel sloppy when you turn it then i would guess timer is faulty.

Dishwasher won't cycle

Sounds like you need a new timer. Costs about $50 - $60. I had the same problem. The knob now turns. Hope this helps.

Kenmore 90 plus won't fill on regular orpermanent press cycle.

OK, Duh..... I guess there is about a 2 to 3 min. delay for the liquid soap dispenser to fill up and disperse the soap into the washer tub. After that short cycle is complete the fill cycle engages and fills at normal speed.

Soap dispenser cover won't close

It sounds like it may be stuck between cycle steps.(this sometimes happens if the washer is open during a cycle)Try and run it through one full wash cycle as it is.Then check to see if the soap door will close. If not,the lack may be broken

I also had this problem. Support person couldn't tell me if the pump was supposed to run even when setting the control knob to 'off' (bar before (1)). After draining the pan, the control knob functioned normally. So apparently any power to the unit will run the pump when the overflow pan is filled, no matter the position of the knob.

GE washing machine water overflowing

sound like the same washing machine from hell that we have. three or four times it has overflowed from want we have been told the hose that runs from the drum to on/off pressure switch cloggeds with soap. we have tried different soap, hot water, cold, water you name it we've tried it. so now evey time we use it we have to clean it with a coat hanger by taking the front off the machine.

P.S. take the hose off top and bottom to clean it, all it takes two/three very small soap bubbles to clogged it
