If all seems to work as usual : the lens extends normally, no unusuall sound...

Then It might be that you are in Macro mode.
Try to check with something really close to the lens, only a few inches.
If this is in focus, then you have to find the macro setting and unselect it.

Hope this will help.

Maybe its on manual focus. take the batteries out and reinsert them

put it on the green auto program. If that still doenst help the auto focus is damaged

You can also bring it to a photo dealer and ask them how much it is woth if you trade it in. The will discover the issue and tell whats wrong

for free :) as long as you dont let yourself lure of course

good luck

The drivers for the hardware don't exist for windows 8. You need to format. turn on holding the 0 key. follow steps to set to factory defaults, save your pictures and documents first cause this will erase them.

There's a diopter control near the viewfinder to adjust the viewfinder to your eye. Try adjusting that while peering into the viewfinder and try to get the focus brackets and the data at the bottom of the viewfinder into focus.

Brand new Canon EOS Rebel XS. Suddenly, image in the view finder is blurry. Auto focus seems to be working, and pictures are coming out fine. But sometimes, the autofocus focuses on the wrong thing, and so...

Next to the viewfinder ther is a diopter adjustment so you can change the focus in the viewfinder. this is so if you need glasses the camera can be set for you. Start by focusing the camera on something, then slide to turn the diopter adjustment until it looks sharp and try not to bump it.

My Canon EOS Rebel xs takes a focused photograph, but when you look through the viewfinder it is blurry. Even the light meter is blurry. Why would that occur?

Can you change the diopter setting on the viewfinder to accommodate your vision? It's usually a dial or slide switch at the eyepiece.

All of a sudden everything is out of focus and very blurry, pictures and even through the view finder. we took a few pics tht turned out normal, set the camera down picked it up about 5-10 minutes later...

If the viewfinder is also blurry, it might be as simple as a smudge on the lens. Is the blur uniform and consistent on the pictures and in the viewfinder? Was there a curious dog nearby when you set the camera down?:)

Nikon D80. It worked fine until recently (maybe after I took pictures during whale-watching in a heavy rain and camera got wet). Now the view in the viewfinder is kind of greyish and blurry. Focus area...

Seems like your problem on greyish/blurry viewfinder is caused by the camera getting water logged. Get your cam cleaned by Nikon.

The flashing red light usually happens if you have this indicator set in the camera. This may not necessarily be an error.. just a setting that you have put in place in your menu.

Blurry pictures

Check to see what the setting is for Image Size (I have sony cybershot DSC-w50). On the camera itself, it is the button on the bottom. My camera was on the 8"x10" size and I was getting blurry shots (especially with people in them). I switched it to the 4x6 print size and it seems to be much clearer.

This is not going to get repaired at a sensible price. Check out Kodak Technical support but I think you are looking at replacing the camera
