Brother 770-PE I have Amazing Design software and use that program to transfer designs to my machine using the USB port. I have done several. Today I can only bring up previous designs on the USB. Anything I have added to the USB today does not show up on my machine. Any ideas?

    Thanks for the reply.

I can find the file on my computer but when I transfer it to the USB and plug that into my embroidery machine and go to the files located on the jump drive they do not show up. It has worked perfectly until today.

I used 2 seperate storage cards and both are doing the same thing. I cleared one card completely and I still have the same issue.

Well, from what is indicated in the USB manual for your Brother, check that none of the below issues is causing this.
- Ensure that USB media contains data for no more than 200 embroidery patterns since Embroidery patterns cannot be transferred to the machine if the USB media contains data for more than 200 embroidery patterns. If this is the case, reduce the number of designs saved on the USB media.

- if the embroidery designs contain too many colors (this number may vary within the designs themselves), it may not be possible to transfer an embroidery pattern to the machine, even if there are less than 200 embroidery patterns that have been saved on the USB media. In this case also, reduce the number of designs saved on the USB media.
- Save the patterns in the root directory of the USB media. If embroidery data is saved in a folder on USB media, that embroidery data cannot be retrieved by the machine.

It's possible that the recent work you did was either unnamed, incomplete or not saved. Most design programs have a temporary folder for incomplete projects or unnamed file.Search your hard drive and look for the Amazing Design folder inside of the "Program Files" folder (typically on C drive) Once located, you should find another folder that may be called temp or temporary or something similar to that. If the work is still there, it would likely be inside that folder. Best of Luck!

It's entirely possible that the storage card on your sewing machine is full and unable to take on more files. If you double click on My Computer, you should see the storage card holding your projects/patterns, it's capacity and how much space is available.

How to digitize an image for use on a Brother LB-6800

Yes. PE-DESIGN is one of the programs allow you to transform pictures/images into embroidery. There are companies that will do it for you if you want only particular pictures done so that you won't have to purchase the program. There are other programs available and some of them are very expensive. I think that PE-DESIGN by Brother is one of the more inexpensive brands that are very good. Maybe I can help you if you send me a photo of what you would like to transform: [email protected]

How do I get pes files open8 using windows 8

In order to 'see' the .pes files you have to have some software to read it like embird or embrillance. Embird is $164 but has some neat features such as being able to change colors and convert from one type embroidery files to another. You can just transfer them to the USB drive by: Plug in your drive, copying them, eject the usb drive, and then plug it into the machine. The machine will read it without you having a program that can read machine formats.

I need to rotate my pattern by 45 degrees on my brother pe 770. I've tried going to layout but it only does 180. Any ideas?

Get software such as Embird Design to do it and then export the .PES file and transfer to the machine. Unfortunately the low end machines do not have this capability.

Can I transfer a pattern from brother 4000d machine to usb

Welcome to Fix Ya!
Are you trying to transfer a built-in pattern from your machine to a USB flash drive? I'm not sure if built-in designs can be transferred in their original form. You might try editing the design a bit, save it to a memory space, then save it to the memory stick. If you have a manual, it should describe how to move designs from your embroidery machine to your computer, and vice versa.
If you are other readers have time to rate my answer, you'll help me become a better expert. If you can give me more specific information about what happens when you try to upload a design from your machine, and whether you have a manual feel free to leave a comment and I'll check back with you.   Cheers, Ginny
