The error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard diskhas failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty. First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If this does not work then reboot and go to theBIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn'tdetect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Next - to determine if thehard drive is faulty, remove the hard drive and insert it into an USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a workingcomputer's USB port. If this computer cannot see itas an external hard drive and you cannot open the various folders and files, this confirms the hard drive is faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

The system is not finding any bootable media (Hard Drive) and is attempting to boot via the network card (PXE Boot) the error message is saying that there is not PXE network to boot from and it is exiting the process.
Generally, this is caused by a hard Drive failure. Reseat the drive and or drive connections and see if the system will find the hard drive.

Wile I am trying to boot it up it goes in to a loop

Hello.

That error message usually refers to a hard disk failure. Your hard disk cable could be loose or faulty. Or, your hard drive would need to be replaced.

I'd suggest to check the cable and run your system's hardware diagnostics (often F2 or F12) when your system boots.

Hope this helps.

Boot error PXE-E61: media test failure, check cable followed by, PXE-M0F: existing Broadcom PXE ROM followed by, Operating System not found

Hard drive has been coruppted. Hold alt f10 on statup to format and reinstall. If that dont work you may need to try install from cd's provided when you purchased laptop. If that dont work buy new hard drive and restore from cd's. Good Luck.

Aspire 3682 PXE-E61:Media test failure.check

PXE error means that it is trying to boot from an ethernet / lan connection.

check your boot order options first and set it to boot
1. Hard drive
2. CD rom drive
3. Floppy (or usb if you know how to do this)
4. network(aka PXE)

If it still fails then yes there MAY be an issue with your hard drive.

Check all hard drive connections before running off for a new one.
This can be especially true with SATA type drives most of which dont have any sort of true locking device to hold the connections secure.
